Seems to lack confidence when he has ball in hand and looks around to see if he’s in the correct position. He is very tentative at stages. Often gets caught out flat footed.
I’m still of the opinion that he is going to be a brute strength inside midfielder, he is going to be a mid that will have to be on the move (like Higgins) to get the most benefit out of his game.
Agree, and he has no better example than Mr 4 Shoulder reco’s himself, Robbie Tarrant, to guide him in his strength rebuilding. He looks like he has given the shoulders and upper body a rest. Sounded like they needed it especially with the op and all.
These blokes will hit the weights pretty hard pre-Christmas. He will look significantly different in a month i reckon. Doesnt take long to regain strength after a break in my experience.
Yes almighty one.
Please send a pair of those rose coloured glasses over
Apart from using brute strength to physically break away from tackles, the ability to assess the situation and get off an advantageous handball while being tackled should be a skill being practiced by the entire squad, always more than 1 way to skin a cat.
I don’t have doubts mate.Fair enough mate. I am not as pessimistic as you about Luke, I just acknowledge that players of his type take time.
We'll revisit this in the middle of 2021 and see who was closer to the mark.
