LDU looked fantastic yesterday! Do you lads expect him to play much midfield time in the seniors during the actual season with guys like Cunnington, Tyson, Higgins, Ahern, Hall, etc playing in there?

Or do you reckon he’s good enough that he has to be played in the middle ahead of some of those guys? :)

Asking for Supercoach but also just in general because I really rate LDU.
Depends if he keeps his form tbh.

Was looking for GR's highlights video of LDU when I realised his YouTube page has been taken down. Surely his content still lives somewhere?

Facebook, just fb search for him.

I would rather not **** with him.

He's arguably the most talented player we've ever drafted other than Daniel Wells.

Let him learn his craft in an AFL midfield, he's clearly good enough now based on today, he gives the midfield a point of difference.

You could see his explosiveness around the contest today, his first couple of steps are quick for a guy of his size, he creates space for himself with ease.

He's still got another 5 or so kg's to put on over the next few years.

If we move anyone to half back, it should be Ahern. He played alot there as a junior and his decision making, kicking skills and kicking penetration is first class.

JWS says hi!

Great step up on what he did last year, but can still build confidence to make the most of his ability to burst clear of congestion!

Exciting times! Will be interesting to see if Brad lets him build at AFL level or in the seconds.

There needs to be a balance in the side as all clubs possess in going for the now and building for the future.

He is the future, he has to play every game he's physically fit for this year imo. He should also be given priority to some extent in center bounces over some of the others in the side, as he has the potential to be the best clearance mid we have.

The sooner we can develop him to his potential, the sooner we will have another elite midfielder in the side.

Yeah, probably fair point, but it's touch and go imo.

JWS was the Larke medalist and considered top 5 at the time (pre-bidding) in a top 10 that had Deledio, Franklin, Roughead, Griffen, Lewis.

JWS, Travis Cloke and Mitch Morton were all F/S's that year that were considered top 10 prospects at the time as well.

Morton in particular crazily enough was close to more highly rated than JWS, the older F/S system really helped save him from being a complete bust for WC in the same mould as Tambling was for Richmond that year.

There's a fair chance that both JWS and Morton got taken before Franklin that year.

Travis Cloke would of been taken ahead of Tom Williams more than likely.

Surely, there are some lawyers on this board that could have helped to fight this?
I used to love watching GR's clips during the season.

We all loved watching them. Unfortunately the AwFuL don’t like it when it’s their property, the money hungry bunch of douche canoes.

Whether we like it or not, we'll always be comparing Luke's career with Stephenson's.
Hopefully in years to come our decision will end up being the right one.
