What am I easing up about? Ken Hunter is currently the best player to pull on the #9. Hickmott, while not a star player, is also one of the better ones to wear that number. Cripps will probably be a better player than both. He may not end up being a triple premiership player (we can hope he does), like Kenny, but he'll be a better player.
Provided we can keep him and he stays on the park, you'd have to say that he's going to easily be a 200+ gamer for us, and that at the very least will give him the games record for that number, and if he improves a bit over the next few years and maintains that level, he will easily be the best player.

To be easily a better player than Ken Hunter, Crippa would have to be elevated to the Jezza, Big Nick, Sticks, Kouta, Diesel stratosphere.
Your sweeping statements show a complete lack of awareness of our history and heritage.

Geez, relax a little. This is obviously all speculation, as Cripps is only 10 games young, but is it really that much of a stretch to think he will be better?

Relax????? Some of us have been around a bit longer than you and respect our greats. Crippa is exciting, talented and "made of the right stuff" but
if he ends up better than Kenny the game has another legend.

FMD! Stop taking things out of context. Sure, highlight the "he will easily be the best player.", but ignore the qualifying statement of "if he improves a bit over the next few years and maintains that level".
Age has nothing to do with this, so stop being condescending.
I have clearly stated that it's specualtion. I have clearly stated that Hunter is deservedly a club legend. I have clearly stated that it's MY OPINION that if Cripps continues to follow his current trajectory, he will more than likely take that mantle.
You would think that somehow that will stop Hunter from being a club legend. No, it just adds another club legend to our long list.
I don't see this much carry on when people say he will be our best player by the end of the year, or that he will be a future Brownlow winner.
The ONLY problem is coming from people taking my comments personally and out of context.

Anyway, back on topic.
Cripps is an absolute gun. He will be our best player by the end of the year. He's a future Brownlow medalist, but he probably won't ever reach club legend status, and he certainly won't be the best player to ever wear #9. There's zero chance of that happening, so we should never talk about it.
Actually, we should probably trade him now while he's got currency and before we ruin him.

This is more accurate.

I don't think this shit is necessary. Show me where I've back pedaled? I don't think me explaining myself, because my comments have been taken out of context, is back pedaling.

Oh Boo Hoo, can't get a mob to agree with him. You be ok you think?
WTF is your problem? You're the one that had a bee in your bonnet about any player possibly being rated above Hunter. My comments are fairly simple to understand.
I'm done. Get over it.

They say people don't believe in hero's anymore. But damn them! You and me, Cripps. We'll bring back their hero's.
He's the hero we deserve.

Not sure how good he'll be.
I worry about his pace and kicking, but I heard Michael Barlow interviewed on the weekend and he said Cripps is close to the best handballer in the comp already and his stoppage work is great.

Not a bad start after 12 games.

Not to worry, the kid will hire his own fitness, speed and kicking coaches in the off-season and sort himself out :)
