Every time I see this kid play he looks better than I last saw him.
I keep saying to myself - keep a lid on it, he's only 20, they will work him out
A 194cm? Midfielder with determination, skills and a will to get better
Bugger it, build a midfield around him
A player like Cripps, who is racking up lots of meaningful possessions, tackles and is a clearance beast, who only has played a handful of games, would have already been noticed by opposition coaches
Can't build a midfield around one player.... but everything else is spot on especially about the constant improvement. Night and day from his first game this year through to now and it's clear he's only scratching the sur

How the same scout that highly recommended him to the club was also the one responsible for Bootsma I'll never know.
There are some players that you can start to build a side around, generally KPP, the fact is a guy like Cripps, will bring other players into the game with his clearance work, as his hands are elite, and also due to the fact that he is a hard worker, very vocal and leads by example. Is going to be a special player, let's not place to much expectation on him, but you know what level of commitment and effort he brings each and every time.

No it wasn't, Cripps is a gun and so is murphy but cripps plays with more heart and has natural leadership qualities, murphy doesn't. Thats why i also wrote IMO at the end of it. It wasnt a pot shot just purely my opinion....sorry you took it the wrong way. Im out. Not worth a carding over something like that.
if it's any consolation it's what i thought you meant - and matches my opinion too.

I've already discussed this.... Take notes people, I don't enjoy repeating shit. [emoji41]

Can't be tagged!

Stand in front of him, get run over.
Stand by his side, elbows to the head.
Stand behind him, he's already done his business.

REKT!

All that's left is to

Stand to attention
Stand in awe
Standstill
Standby (and watch the magic)
Stan Lee - who must have created this superhero :)

I haven't seen a Carlton side be that aggressive for a very long time. It's like we said we won't be intimidated any more and this showed in our tackling and attack on the ball. Was super impressed. The result was a bonus and to see Port players faces when we continually tackled them hard and legally was awesome. Port were up for this game as well. Cripps led from the front he is already intimidating by his size and presence. Image in a few years? Cripps & Bell will be our enforces.

Hartlett tried to get into him at most centre bounces - didn't even acknowledge him.

No doubt he was thinking "I'm going to own you in a second".
Yeah he just doesn't give a **** and as Thy said somewhere, you can see it on his face.

Amazing to think a guy who's played less than 20 games is already one of our very best mids. Normally you'd say it's an indictment on our list/state but not really in this case, because no matter what midfield we'd have, he'd be right up there.

He's the exact kind of personality and player we needed.

I want him to nipple cripple his opponent.
I-See-What-You-Did-There..png

reminds me of pendles in his awareness and handballing skills but cripps shows more inside work in his tackling and contested ball/clearances. hes a pretty big unit so i wonder how he'll handle a tag
Difference is this guy will win a brownlow...

What I enjoyed most yesterday was the tackling, Nicky G on Boak was ultra important but the way he decked Wines just showed strength and he definitely doesn't look it, He did Pittard too didn't he? Bell was an absolute bull especially on the boundary were Ebert tried tacking him and Bell went, please get off me, And set up Menzelllllllll... Then there's the Crippa, this guy is seriously special, What a footy brain this guy has.. The way he thinks through things is truly amazing, refuses to get tackled and refuses to lose 1on1... The guy is 20 yo, UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I usually don't praise this guy but he really played well and that's Carrots, He was really good and did some great things...

Oh, stop exaggerati................................................you're probably right

There is nothing not to like about this kid ... But it's his attitude and how he brings everyone together that has me excited. He is a leader, you see him already marshaling the troops in the middle. That has been sorely missed at CFC for so bloody long.

The Hawks have literally won premierships just off the leadership of Mitchell and Hodge in the middle .... Cripps for all his apparent talent ... To me that is a bonus ... it's his attitude and leadership that I truly rate.

The kid will end up being a Kernahan type CFC legend.

At such an early stage in his career, Cripps has set the standard required to play in the navy blue jumper. He is a rare find and taking away his talent and this kid still oozes class. What sets him apart from others is his appetite for the contest, he has the right attitude and baby faced as he is, once he crosses that line his intensity and desire are second to none. This kid will only make others around him stand taller as team mates will go into battle with him knowing each and every time he gives his all and leaves nothing to chance.

Had number 9 printed onto my guernsey during Lucas' first year that showed signs of promise and now I thank heavens for Cripps I'm bloody proud and excited to have that number on me back when I go to games. This kid played so well yesterday, 30 something touches with a +80% disposal efficiency, he just knows hot to lead from the front.

Didn't Lucas wear 24 in his first year? :P
