Yet only 82kg. He must be an absolute rake.

"196 cm and 82 kg?! What a bean pole!!!"

Four Sharks picked up in the 2013 AFL Draft
Patrick has come through the East Fremantle Football Club’s talent pathway, right through from 14’s development squads. Patrick, from Northampton in our Midwest regional zone, boarded at Aquinas College. Through those development squads Patrick was one of the shorter players, but always had excellent decision making, was always able to win his own ball and his execution also of a high standard. 2013 saw Patrick come in to the Colt’s program for the first time. He had played 1st XVIII at Aquinas in 2012, but had suffered a leg injury and as a result didn’t play much football. An amazing growth spurt in excess of 20cm over two years saw Patrick arrive as the current day “big bodied inside midfielder.”

An outstanding start to 2013 saw him selected in the State 18’s, where he was eventually named Vice Captain and also won All-Australian honours. Patrick has become somewhat of a stoppage specialist, winning the ball at will. He has clean hands, excellent vision and all round football nouse.

Although missing a number of games through the State 18’s Program, Patrick finished runner-up in the East Fremantle Colt’s best and fairest.

Speaks very well for a kid that just got drafted.
Looking forward to him getting stuck into it.
I like that in the interview he said that he'll watch some footage of Diesel to maybe pick a few things off him.
Why not just have the club bring Diesel down and get a few pointers from the great man himself, I remember we did that a few years ago.

p.s. for those that were discussing what team he barracked for as a kid, he went for the Dockers.

Isn't he 189 cm tall? Giles looks shorter than 195 cm too.

I don't know what to believe regards heights! Are heights (and weights) recorded for AFL records under the supervision of an AFL Officer (representative) at each respective club at the start of the year, especially for the new players and the younger players who often continue growing - assume platform shoes not allowed! Have known several footballers over the years and of course stood next to quite a few and seriously I very strongly doubt their official heights in some cases.

As long as the players play their position well, doesn't matter what their height is! We all know Cripps is a big boy so doesn't matter if he's 188, 190 or 192! They're all big for a mid.

Excuse the interruption but we've got his State off-sider Jared Jansen who's also an extra big mid, anywhere between 188-193, whatever! they are big!

As it stands at the moment:

Tuesday = 188cm
Wednesday = 193cm
Thursday (last week) = 192cm

I'm still very keen to know what his height will be on weekends. That's when we need him to be at his tallest.

So, midfielder come KPP, depending on what day we are playing :cool:

On draft day he was 190cm according to AFL.com.

A poster in the know at TC said 192cm at combine

All these projected heights remind me of being in highschool when people would talk about how long the old fella was.

Never consistent and no one knew where to measure from.
