First year player, mate. Not second. Yes, yes, he's 20. Yes, it's his second year on an AFL list, but it's his debut year. You know, no games played. No experience in the AFL. No games under his belt. Developing tall, and all that.

Check out Daniher's stats in his third year - 1 year older.

It took 6 years (nearly 70 games) for today's best forward to have as good (better) a year.

Btw, his first year is better than Darlings. More possessions, marks, contested marks, marks inside 50, goals assist and ratings points. Same average goals.

This won't go down well, so naturally I'll depart. Bye.
He's been in an AFL environment since 2013. Was too young to play AFL in his first year so trained and played with Casey, not to mention he played NAB cup that year. 2014 had a back injury, but his first year officially as an AFL player.

That would make 2015 his 3rd year.

Still done a great job this year. Almost as good as Jeremy Camerons efforts.

So when coaches say it takes young players 60-80 games experience to develop into consistent AFL players you obviously think they're lying. Apparently when you're Hogan it doesn't help at all.

Games played clearly means nothing. Yeah, sure.

If Hogan played for Carlton the circle jerk would be extraordinary.

Game experience is massive. So is time spent developing in the magoos, and time spent in the gym.

Saying Hogan is a first year player is misleading.

Mate, the media spoofstream has ensured your bloke gets it. **** off and enjoy splashing through the puddles.

Yeah yeah... you have the AFL spoon feeding your pathetic club shit... and now, one of your players is getting an individual award for actually being the second best player in the league because virtually everyone on the selection panel is either a certified Carlton hater or a KPP. The only people who will give Cripps votes are Sheehan and Ling.

Now... as thylacine60 has suggested, **** off.

This argument that hogan plays a more difficult position compared to sir patrick is not correct. Pat plays in the most congested, competitive environment on the field. He is not just collecting possessions, he is creating possessions, and often when he does, he is giving the ball out to the advantage of his team mates. The modern game is very midfield centric and the best players play there. Pat has done a great job and has got better as the tags have gotten harder. Hogan has been magnificent as well. Both have claims

Cripps rips Melbourne to shreds and Hogan did nothing at all

Hogan will rob Cripps of the medal

also this is what peeves me off, Hogan is allowed to have a quiet patch of games and still be favourite.............Cripps didn't have a quiet patch
When Cripps has quiet patches in games, it's because he is on the bench having a 2 minute rest.

As others have said, media have sealed it for Hogan now. Didn't hear a single one last night say Cripps should win.

Given this combined with the muppets on the selection panel I would actually say the 1.90 odds still on offer for Hogan is pretty close to free money. But alas I could not bring myself to bet against the Crippa.

I don't really care who wins but Roos is basically saying that if Cripps (or anyone else) wins it , they didn't deserve it.

Bit shit.
Trust Roos to be anti-Carlton.

The funny thing was that Roos was saying he didn't really know how good a season Cripps had had while giving him coaches votes only 2 weeks ago. Short Memory.

You're annoying enough on the main board's RS thread where you take any and every opportunity to downplay Cripps' achievements.
Now you want to come on OUR board, a CRIPPS thread and spruik HOGAN?!?
**** off.
