Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

And amongst all of that he still finds away to get a handball off to not only a Carlton player, but a Carlton player to advantageI actually miss a lot of his work he is usually so buried underneath other players. He's the starter motor invisible under the hood somewhere.

Can you tell us what was going through your mind as you were about to merge them? Was this new territory for you or were you always confident?
Was there. This corresponding round last year in NZ is where he announced himself against saints. In 12 months he's become the leading contested/clearnce player in the league. BEAST.

I love the way Bolton described him after the Freo game. To paraphrase "I don't know how many possessions he had but a fair few contested. He's a bull!"
Love it. And as to the future, as an inside mid I don't forecast a Charlie, but a swag of Norm's would be nice...
True, but it's usually the flashier mids in vogue, Priddis being the exception to the norm. I'd much prefer Cripps to win the Norm (multiple timesStranger things have happened. Priddis won a Brownlow and generally polls well.
). If he tackled me there'd be nothing left but a Gaga meat-suit.Didn't realise it was Cripps who broke Fyfe's leg again yesterday.
Can't say I'm surprised. Kid tackles like bear

After 5 rounds, Cripps is the leading the AFLs clearances, contested possessions and also 7th in tackles. What an absolute beast.
Problem right now is that he's doing it alone in the middle.
Leads the league in clearances, but we're last as a team. Stating the obvious, but desperately need a couple of blue-chip prospects in there to go with him. A pressing need, even more than finding a genuine key forward.
Last year clearances were our biggest strength. Why have we dropped off so much in this area?
