Would love nothing more than for him to lift 17 for us
Welcome, look forward to your contributionsFirst time poster, long time reader of the forum, and what better time to join now the captain is signed on for another 6 years.
I've read this forum for years and at times it has served as a form of therapy for the on field disappointments, so I don't want my first post to come across as judgmental as I know everyone on here are long suffering, loyal fans who want nothing more than to see the club be successful, but surely this a positive day for the club.
As we shouldn't we don't know much about the contract terms other than the length which can only be positive in the context of us supporters wanting players to show loyalty to the cause.
Living in Perth I've had to listen all year long to uninformed, boorish drivel from mainly West Coast Eagles fans about how "Cripps will return to WA to play for a successful club blah blah blah", so at the very least this will put an end to that, and at best its Cripps making a definitive statement that he sees better times ahead at the club.
Obviously they need to start winning more consistently, and hopefully the review will go some way to addressing some of our deficiencies, but in the interim hopefully this will give the club a lift that it so desperately needs at the moment.
I'll give my views on other issues on the appropriate threads over the course.
Cheers to you all!

Its an amazing trend considering our on field performancesGreat news for the club and its supporters. Continuing the trend of every required player re-signing with the club since the re-build began.
Agree 100%. Now if only the club gets the message...Great news.
No disrespect intended to Docherty, but Cripps should be the sole captain of this football team.

I could live with Cain Ackland lifting 17 for us.Would love nothing more than for him to lift 17 for us
love cripps, but 6 years is too long, should have been 4, 95% of players start to decline at 30
should have been 4 year deal, club can then negotiate depending on how his body is coping
Not concerned with the length of Crippa's contract, as it would be heavily front ended and or the last 2 years being much lower.
Great sign of commitment, moreso to the talent on the list
