He reminds me so much of Cripps. He could be anything. Like someone said no pre season and this is how he is playing already. With our picks the last few years under Rosa it just shows how Dodoro had absolutely no idea. Even players like Day-wicks… not a star as of yet. He just competes and will only get better and these are the players you need. Like in 2000 Mark Johnson

He seems more dynamic than Cripps. I hope we don't bulk him up too much and detract from his speed and agility, if he's already standing up in tackles as an 18yo he doesn't need to add weight.

If we need to manage him for a game in the back half of the season that is fine but let him take charge of that middle along with Sharp once he returns.

Was keeping a close eye on him on Sunday and was seriously impressed.

As mentioned, just keep throwing him into centre bounces. I love it. Was seriously worried that we'd throw him into forward flank purgatory - especially with Caldwell and Setters being back in. But we gave him a real chance in there and he thrived.

He also seemed to cover the ground really well and didn't look out of place from a fitness standpoint - again, extremely impressive given he's had basically no pre-season, and is still 18yo ffs. Huge scalp in the draft.

The sick thing is that a year ago, he was playing for Rowville. He's so far from the finished product and yet, still producing football like this against one of the better midfields in the competition.

I think Robey been able to get in and around the ball and using the ball well most times is just something we're not used to much.

A big, strong kid who can stand up in tackles, make tackles, take and give some physicality it's a treat for us considering the lanky, flanker types we're used to in the past.

He has a couple of things to polish but so far so good.

Cumming, I think will be gold for Richmond.

100% agree. On the evidence on hand. All four kids have shown waaay more than enough to say they are all gonna be guns. Robey looks like the inside mid type (already) Dons have been looking for over years now. Farrow, Birchall type. Lock for 200 games. Very happy with the Richmond boys and wouldn't change those picks at this stage but along with Sharp that years draft looks pretty special for the Dons. No reason why things don't turn quickly after another 1-2 first round picks before Tassie come in. Lots of noise but if Essendon finish bottom, 1 game before us, and pick THM before us - I'll wish we lost this game

Despite all the doom and gloom feeling atm im pretty bullish on a number of guys from the 23, 24 and 25 drafts, the more games they play together the better we will get.

Yes same here. I feel like the last three drafts have been great for us. It’s still tough losing and the lack of effort being shown but guys like Roberts Robey May and Caddy are helping the pain. The team would look completely different if the rest of the young kids were available like Sharp Kako Roberts Johnson. The youth bring the energy.
