This is interesting, the 1st song says who could care less.

Many people do care but don't articulate. Part of their upbringing.

Might be a problem in our society. As an older Aussie, you tend to suck it up and say nothing, this is also part of our culture.

Rowland S Howard wrote the song when he was 15 and this is his version.



You can't always trust wiki but this is what's there https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shivers_(song) in the movie autoluminescent it's mentioned he was 15 and it was a pisstake of his schoolmates running around saying they would kill themselves because a certain boy/girl didn't like them.

Rowland S Howard was in The Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party with Nick Cave. In autoluminescent Nick Cave says that in hindsight he wishes he hadn't done the vocals.

I still remember getting my mum the smooth/blue/burning down the house singles for xmas, and Clapton Chronicles for my dad, in '99. Turning 11, learning to save pocket money, so I think these were the first xmas presents of reasonable price I ever bought.
