Pot makes your eyes go red, it doesn't pinpoint your pupils like smack does.

It might seem that way to you, but once you become familiar with how pinned smack makes peoples' eyes, you might just stick with redness. There is a huge difference on how pinned each drug makes eyes.

A reddening of the eyes isn't typically associated with IV heroin use. However, H can also be snorted or smoked. Depending upon the user, if this causes an irritation of the sinuses you would expect the eyes to turn red. Also, some users may actually be allergic to the drug they are using which can lead to a host of signs and symptoms - including red eyes.

It's very, very rare to find pharmaceutical grade heroin on the streets. In fact, it's very dangerous to do so because H is so regularly cut with other substances, that the pure stuff almost always leads to accidental overdose.

If the batch has been cut with manitol or scopolamine (very common) then a red eye effect could be expected - especially with smoking or snorting. The absolute rarity of pure heroin makes it irrelevant to debate what outward symptoms it does or does not create.

The scopolamine is a bitch. Usually treatment of a heroin overdose involves an IV injection of naloxone. If the horse they took was cut with scopo, the heroin is blocked, but the scopo acts alone as a freakishly harsh hallucinogen. Then you have a savage fight on your hands with a guy who only moments before was either way the hell mellow, or nearly dead. I hate the ****.

But yeah, I've seen red-eyed heroin users.

I am not a social worker.I work at a pain clinic.And believe me I know that addicts lie it goes with the lifestyle.Heroin doesn't effect everyone the same way.It can depend on a variety of things what the shlt has cut with,the length of habit,the tolerance of the user etc etc.You might notice I did say some people!

Light up some damp newspapers and stick your head over them and open your eyes the smoke will get in and cause them to go red. as mooster said wear sunnys and just say some dumb things.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with it decreasing the blood pressure in the retina resulting in a build up of blood in the capillaries. I think it is this feature which has lead to glaucoma sufferers being prescribed marijuana as a medicinal drug.
