Society/Culture A Curious Phenomenon...

If they go to Russia and start abusing people, no its not ok. But in Australia, he's standing up to his oppressor, he is fact brave. He is fully aware some homeboy will post a vid somewhere denigrating him or trying to drag his culture down to level of white European culture.

If you listen to the guy, he is right. White Australians have no culture. He is quite entitled to point that out considering the genocide against his race by whites.

So if an aborigine abuses an African transit guard would that be racist because the victim is black? Or brave because he is 'standing up to an invading oppressor'?

What if, like most aborigines, someone is of mixed indigenous and european background. Should he punch himself in the face?

I think we have all seen the video of the young oxygen thief in Brisbane on the train, racially abusing the African transit guard in the most vile manner imaginable.

Such was the abhorrence of what's contained in the footage we have even seen Tony Abbott and Campell Newman expressing there disgust - and rightly so.

Having said, in other cities in Australia, racially motivated anti social behaviour is rife on it's public transport networks, and arguably has been since god was a boy.

That's probably on the tamer side of videos I could of found.

Why then is it ok and laudable to come out and condemn the young offender in the Brisbane incident, but inevitably likely to lead to accusations of racism if you have same attitude towards individual in videos I have just posted.

Surely, racism is racism is racism?

We either stand against anti social, racist behaviour or we don't, right?

Why haven't we seen Abbott or others standing up and condemning the individuals that can be found in a myriad of videos online spouting anti white abuse on trains?

Why haven't we seen Facebook 'find him' groups started over them?

Interesting phenomenon.

Did it hurt your feelings? did you feel sub-human after that tyrade? did you feel unimportaint and that aboriginals were superior?

Yet when there white the PM feels the need to get involved?

One standard for all I would of thought.

Things will never improve if we set a lower bar and make excuses for one group outside the rest.
Make no mistake, media traction is the major, if not only factor here. No-one really cares about assholes harassing people on trains, this day and age just allows people to collect 'karma' points on twitter about it. This is a media thing, I'm sure in practice the majority of people would reacts to an aboriginal person harassing people in the same way as they would to a white person harassing people. By doing absolutely nothing and/or filming it for youtube.

Did it hurt your feelings? did you feel sub-human after that tyrade? did you feel unimportaint and that aboriginals were superior?

Is that relevant?

As I keep saying, you either reject racist anti social behaviour or you don't.

You don't get to pick and choose which group is more or less deserving of being a target, or more or less likely to be offended.

Racism is an obscenity and should be called out wherever it is seen, not just where it's more often seen.

Danny Nalliah, leader of the Rise Up Australia Party, and quite possibly the most stupid human being ever. Unsurprisingly, he is hand in glove, (belief/policy wise), with many of our resident numpties on here.
That poker fellow, tried to make a point against Muslims, using a link to a wiki page on that dude.
I didn't even click the link, I saw the name 'Danny Nalliah' in the link title, and knew it wasn't what poker was saying, and it wasn't connected to anything I had said.

Anyway, I called him out, he knew he was wrong, and then the crowd of heroes, being risingphalanx and mottrain, ran to his aid to support him.

Of course when it was pointed out by others, that I was right, they fell silent on the issue again..

Oh and it's good to have you back! You did a number on the dardysign fella! Had him jumping at shadows!
I think there was at least two people he thought you were, including Rick J.

Kader Boumzar does not sound like a white anglo name to me.

Why is some sections of the MSM portraying it that way?

Why do you think mate?

It's like the hysteria over those attacks on Indian students from those evil racist Anglo Aussies....that (ahem) turned out to be commited by 'men of middle eastern appearance'.

The media is only too willing to engage in the same cultural self flagellation that is so wildly popular amongst some on these boards.

Delusions of grandeur much?

Why aren't our leaders doing something about anti-white racism? It's highly prevalent, you know. Who's gonna stand up for our oppressed brethren? Sheesh, it's minority this, muslim that aboriginal this blah blah blah.

Reckon Aamer Rahman puts it best

The African seccy video garnered more attention than the video you posted because it's your classic villain/hero/victim scenario and the one you posted has neither. on top of that it's barely audible.

The racist in the first video is instantly unlikeable; aggressive, young, arrogant, punchable face with a pathetic mo and extremely vitriolic. He held up the entire train, and his mate, who was giggling like a flirtatious school girl the whole time, filmed it and put it up on Facebook for shits and giggles.

The security guard played both the victim and the hero, showing the patience and restraint of the Dalai Lama by passively taking the abuse and even moving to put himself between the racist and other passengers to protect them.

Abbott commented on this particular video because his advisors probably thought it was great timing and saying something would probably be beneficial (to him) in light of recent events.

The video you posted is a completely different scenario. "Two idiots get into inane argument on a train and throw moderately racist insults at each other" would be a more accurate title.

We have a drunk and agitated aboriginal couple trading insults with a white guy who is laughing and mocking them. I'm not sure who the victim is here? No one, in my opinion.

From what I can make out the video starts in the middle of the argument with the aboriginal guy saying something like "you killed and r*ped our women, you dogs... I'm proud of my heritage... You white people got no culture".

White guy replies: 'We shouldn't be proud of raping your women... Why would we rape your women? Look at them. No offence."

(Inaudible rambling for a few minutes)

Aboriginal guy: "Have you ever lived with aboriginals... Have you ever lived in our culture?"

White guy: " Nah, I'm better than you."

And so on, and so on.

Doesn't seem to support your hypothesis very well. It's really just two idiots arguing. What about posting a more extreme example of what you're talking about.
