or conversely, just single them out, like the Muslims, for some good ole "Aussie" shit flinging.
I don't single them out at all but you must agree these communities have big problems and the forum members would have you think nothing to see hear thanks, lets move on. I don't like raising it but when you see the carry on about a 17yo abusing a train guard but ignore the other issues staring them in the face you must understand it is appalling the rank hypocrites can deflect and sheet home all blame to old whitey.[/QUOTE]

Can I book you for my next function. Your satire is biting!!

Humour 101! It's pretty well known around here that I am from a pastoralist background and have extensive ties to the Yalgoo area.

Christ...you think I'm the angry one?

You sound like you have a chip the size of Ayers Rock on your shoulder.

We really ought to be talking about the Brisbane flog(not sure why this wasn't included in the OP):

Remarkable restraint shown by the transit guard. I probably would of bashed that kids skull in.

The issue been done to death, we are now discussing issues involving dissatisfied indigenous youth in our community who are misbehaving, and thanks for raising the tone by wanting to bash the 17yo skull in.

So much for condemning racism wherever/whenever its coming from then . All I saw from the OP was him using the notoriety of yesterday's incident to push his own biased agenda.

It was such a minor incident on a train, a 17yo mouthing off acting tough , he is being dealt with but do we need to really have a thread going on such a minor incident, no we don't. Talk about a more major issue as i was saying reverse racism by members of our aboriginal youth who target normally innocent people for a beating for no reason but being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You could start by substantiating your claims and constructing a logical argument first, then we could probably go from there. Thus far we have nothing.

Yes, that's right.

A close friend of mine lost his life at the hands of an Aboriginal lad.

And I'm the one ranting, and generalising, here??

O rly?

We did we wanted to discuss the incident in geraldton where a young aboriginal killed a man playing beach cricket but as usual it got so derailed we went back to the young man on the train giving off verbal abuse, of course this topic was of much more importance.

Discuss away. What would you like to know?

Pissweak by the transit guard actually. Why wasn't that little campaigner dealt with there and then rather than having to be tracked down via YouTube?

My perspective?

It highlights the cowardly, predatory, violent pack mentality of young Nyoongar youth in metropolitan perth.

If that's 'hanging shit' on them, then that's what it is.

Where do they learn that hate (white dog!!! White dog!!!! White dog!!! Etc), that willingness to casually dish out violence to random people on the street?

White kids are out there causing there share of shit too, don't you worry about that, but that video gave a really good snapshot to outsiders of what West Aussies talk about when they talk about the sorts of casual violence and aggressive anti social behaviour they experience from the Nyoongar community on a daily basis.

Honestly unless you have lived in Perth for an extended period, you just don't realise what it's really like.

It's a unique situation and environment, with a cycle of inter generational hate that just seems to roll on and on.

That's not too diminish or cast aspersions of the causative factors which have led us to where we are....but at this point, the search for answers and solutions is of far more interest to me than continuing to dwell in the past.

Which is the real purpose of this thread.

We should be as outraged at an Aboriginal racially abusing someone on a train or in the community, as we are a white person.

The longer we make excuses and make apologies, the longer we allow a double standard, the longer it will take to have a truly 'equal' society.

Interesting perspective.

What happened leading up to the fight? Who were the people involved? What information do you have, that wasn't in that video?

What powers do transit guards actually have though? I mean they don't have the powers to physically detain someone do they?

Not sure, pretty sure they have some though. At least call cops to meet you at the next station.

I wouldn't have a clue what happened in the lead up...I put my hand up and admit yes I'm going purely off the footage, but as I said, it's footage that really speaks for itself.

I'll give an example.

During my time on the force, I was based out of Midland for a time....fairly lively station. Anyway, I remember one shift parked in the carpark opposite Ashfield train station whilst a colleague got some grub from the lunch bar. I had birds eye view of on ramp onto station leading off soccer reserves near the old Cyril Jackson high school.

Next thing I know eight aboriginal youths started coming down the ramp and I could see about 20 meteres away heading towards them was just some kid of about 16 heading onto the station presumably from school. He had his headphones in and as he walked past them they just straight out king hit him and went at him like wild animals. I radioed my partner and we stepped in (the offenders scarpered and the victim was the priority) but the sheer unprovoked dispensation of brutality just blew my mind.

I saw that sort of shit again and again throughout my career, generally not always at the direct coal face like that, but I've helped clean up plenty of victims....including Aboriginal for what it's worth.

That video had the 'smell' of such an attack...someone probably made the mistake of making eye contact and that was enough.

I'm honestly not a racist person, but the ferocity and casual use of extreme physical violence amongst sections of the Nyoongar community.

Scary, quite frankly.

I think it's less to do with race, and more to do with society.
I'd wager most of those kids come from broken homes, and have been through, or close to, juvenile detention at some point.

But we don't know what actually happened in that video, and we don't know what lead up to it.

So to use it as a base to say that there is a systematic problem with a race, isn't very fair. Is it?

Depending how long you were working as a cop before the situation in your anecdote. But I would have expected you to recognise some of the attackers?

You can't use that short youtube clip, without any other information. To pass judgement on an entire race.

Ashfield, of course, being at, or very damn near, the bottom of the socio-economic scale in Perth.

Quite amazing that our resident ex-pig can't recall similar attacks by other ethnicities. Must have had some peculiar postings in his short career.

but yeah, he's no racist. Honest he aint.

Your out of line.

Despite everything I'm not calling you names, so ease up with the pig shit please.

And I was the force eleven years.

Which is eleven more than you would manage.

Respect is earned, and my respect for the WA Police Force is pretty much non-existent. I have zero convictions btw, what I do have is a hell of a lot of experience with their methods, tactics and, at times, corruption.

And that's just with us 'whiteys'.

The moniker stays.
