Well from memory past form from Gaspar in the WAFL, over the last 2 seasons, he has been MUCH better at CHF than at CHB. MUCH better. I really believe he should be left to develop there.
Saying that where does that leave McDougall and Hansen, i guess one could be our future full forward, but which one?

POSSIBLE future up the guts lineup
Glass
Lynch(his form in WAFL makes me believe we NEED to promote him and groom him for CHB for when jako retires in a few seasons time)
Kerr
Gaspar
McDougall/Hansen(Both are pretty much listed as CHF option, which do you guys think could be best groomed for full forward perhaps to yake over from willow?)

What about recruiting say a young ex-Sandgroper defender from an eastern states club. I know Gaspar and Hay are signed but what about someone like Nicholson? I don't think he's as old as he looks. I think he's doing a pretty good job for the demons at the moment down back. I don't know what his contract situation is like though.

Thoughts?

I'm sure it is something the eagles will look into, is there any other ex-sandgroper defenders in the league worth having a look at maybe??? But yeah, could be a possible solution!

FB thoughts

I believe that neither Glass nor Carroll are suited to playing FB against most opponents.

This year, McIntosh when fit. Possible experienced back-up is Sierakowski, who I still think can be valuable to us as a pinch-hitter and I would prefer him at FB than at CHF.

Longer term, could well be Lynch from what I've seen. But longer term is hard to tell because the game changes so much. It's more individual match-ups than pure positions (as in FF/FB) than it used to be.

I noticed in the paper today, it said that in our pasr 2 games against Port Adelaide, Chad Fletcher has been in the top 3 players. Maybe he should get a recall this week - although the tough decision would be who to drop.

I'm sorry I disagree with this. I think we should take the best players available that are in form. Chad needs to get consistency under his belt and IMO he is not playing like the player he was against the dorkers. JW will only choose players in form and he has stipulated this with the players.

I hate to see a repeat of a few years back when we drafted Trent Nichols from Richmond. The only time he played was against his old club and he never made any impact with the Eagles.

Play players in form....
