I think he is more of a forward now but was gun small defender
Pears? He showed good pre-season form and his body is already big enough for senior footy.

He is 190cm and still growing. He wouldnt fit the mold. Slattery is our best option IMO. He isnt a natural ball winner, so it is useless using him in the midfield. He is a handy stopper however, so why not leave him on the oppositions best small forward. It wouldnt be such a bad idea trying him against Josh Hill this week, or even Aker. You just never know, we could be surprised.Pears? He showed good pre-season form and his body is already big enough for senior footy.
From reports Slattery was ordinary for Bendigo, let him earn his spotHe is 190cm and still growing. He wouldnt fit the mold. Slattery is our best option IMO. From memory when he played on BJ in the NAB Cup he put on some nice spoils and kept with him on the lead. I dont think hell get a run though this weekWould love to see Pears get some game time to fast track his career, maybe this would be a good game to bring him in on Mitch Hahn, so he can get some experience but not be too expensive if he cant win the contest.
NO! Didn't he play a little on Johnson in NAB Cup and got belted? One from left field, Monfries as a small defender?

I think you misunderstood me. The still growing comment wasnt meant to mean that we shouldnt play him. I was getting at since he is still growing and is already 190cm that he will not be a small defender.Nash is 189cm, although Pears may still be growing, wouldn't hurt to blood him deep in defence.
Although i like Lovett-Murray forward, he can do a reasonable job on a medium forward. Just depends if we need him down there.

Well, I'd prefer Lovett-Murray up forward and Mcphee down back... how bout a direct swap?

A good win but...
Mcfee is a liability across half forward
Stanton is far from the elite midfielder that Knights has proclaimed him to be.
Our midfield was smashed at stopages for the second week in a row
Our defence was a shambles
Mal Michael may be close to playing his last game
We only just beat a side who has lost 14 straight.
you dispute the stat? lol
Hille only played 74% of the game and it was the first game this season Essendon had won the hitouts (statistically speaking), an indictment on Hille perhaps?
And for all of you who are wondering... yes, Essendon didn't win the ruck hitouts (statistically speaking) against the Kangaroos. Why's that you say? Because when the team's winning most people don't take notice of the weaknesses, it's human nature!
Another thing, what good is winning 17 hitouts, with 29% of them ging to advantage, when you get smashed at the stoppages? The Dons winning the game had absolutely nothing to do with either Hille, or to a lesser extent Laycock, who I thought was very serviceable.
Mal had Fev covered for two quarters.
He kicked a lucky goal on him (his first) when the ball fell in his hands and kicked one other for the half.
He then played the quarter of his life when Carlton were dominating play.
One bad quarter, which was only made by Carlton's dominance doesn't spell the end for what has otherwise been a pretty good start to the season
The stat he asked for. Very funny!
I get it, the stats only matter when they support your argument.
When they detract from it, they're incorrect.
Good stuff.
Didn't Ch10 give Hille best on?
Credibility?
None, which is probably slightly above yours.
