A couple of things with Michael is it fair to say it makes it hard for him when opposition midfielders cut loose against us. I dont no if is just me but Full forwards always have a field day against Essendon and in my opinion is it is not Michael fault what is happening. McPhee leave him in forward line and judging by Matty Knights comments McPhee wont be leaving the forward line in a hurry. Finnally agree about Hillie I think the guy is doing a fantastic job for us and with his mobility around the ground he is a big asset to the Essendon Footy club

Your right I thought Mal was ok on the weekend on a few occasions I thought he couldn't have done any better without infringing. With Carlton's midfield dominace in the third, its hardly surprising that Essendon defenders seemed to have a problems dropping back to fill up holes. Mal got 12 spoils and 8 touches means the ball was going to Fev alot and he was winning 2/3 contests.

Bullshit, Hille was in the ruck, was losing and then Laycock was switched there, twice! ;)
After reviewing the tape, Laycock was switched there after the opening bounce of the second half after Hille went of injured

I distinctly remember Carlton breaking out frim the middle TWICE while Laycock was in the ruck and kicking a goal without us toucing the ball.
After seeing the game on tv, I would like to alter this comment. Although they did break away and kick goals while Laycock was in the ruck, it wasnt his fault. He killed Carlton in the rick in the 3rd qtr, but Carlton still managed to get the clearences.

On a lighter note, how stupid are Voss and Wallsy.
Vossy: "Mark my words, Hille has ripped all the muscles in his shoulder"
Wallsy: "Laycock will have to stand up here, not just this qtr, but the whole season now that it looks like Hille will be missing"
