Can i first just say that i am fullly aware that i have only registered 60 or so posts on this board and that i am speaking as a member of bigfooty who has only been around for a few short weeks.
My simple point is that i am disapointed, no perhaps that is not the right word..disgusted, yes, that's it!!..with the lack of quality football discussion that occurs on this Big Footy Board. This is not a criticism directed towards everyone, because i know as do many of you, that there are a FEW people out there who contribute to this board in a positive way and on a whole, have have the interest of the game at heart. No, this is directed towards those so called "footy fans" who make it their life's ambition to add posts or threads with the clear intention of either provoking a response/ bagging out an opponents club or crapping on about predictions which have no bearing what-so-ever on the current situation in footy as we all see it. Now, when i first arrived i may not have had the highest expectations one can have over entering a football discussion board but the least i hoped for was some informative discussion which would expand my own football knowledge and allow myself to see a different side to the issues and controversies which affect our national game. Instead, all i have found is a bunch of guys (remember i am not talking about everyone), who want to correct people's spelling (go on, try it again!!), promote Martin Pike as God's unknown disciple or swear at each other with words that have more asterixs than comic series. Now, i don't know if everyone let alone anyone agrees with me on this point or even cares cause i don't really care myself!!!! I just want to wish all those loyal footy board members all the best in starting new crappy threads, finding a new little picture or ironic quote to stick beside their unfunny usernames and living a life with as much point as the words that appear in your posts.
If only the trolls would return to their caves, eat some more bull**** and rott away under a bridge so we can all go piss on them!!!
