Carlton won the pre-season flag in 2005.

How did they go once the real stuff started?

I think it's kinda pathetic that you get excited about a pre-season premiership.

But Gunnar it does not take away from the fact that the Carlton Football Club is the most current AFL premiership team. Your drug boys are old news, get out of the way the Blue train is coming through.

Carlton > West Coast Eagles.

probally as important as the mickey mouse cup
The "mickey mouse" cup as you put it is probably a better indication of a sides ability than the actual Home & Away Season and subsequent Finals series including the Grand Final. All teams are fit and firing and most of each clubs new tactics have not been worked out so the club that is the best usually will win the competition.

Oh my god...tell me you are not actually deluded enough to believe that bs??!!

So how many of the 15 other clubs did Carlton play. 4!!!

Which four? Essendon, Hawthorn, Kangaroos and Brisbane.

None of them were exactly powerhouses themselves last year now were they??!!

Good on ya for winning the NAB Cup but don't actually deluded yourself into thinking your club is still not a pathetic rabble because you will be very disappointed!!

I expect such comment from an Essendon supporter, think about it the NAB cup is probably a far superior show of a teams performance than 22 round sof rubbish and 4 weeks of second chance finals.

Knock-out comp my friend only the best survive.

Way to spruik over a competition where only half the competition took it seriously. If every team played their full strength sides in Brisbane and Carlton wouldn't even make the Semi-Finals:cool:

The NAB Cup isn't an AFL premiership.

That's why they call it "The NAB Cup".

See how that works?

Such a true indication. That's why teams that are a serious chance of winning the Premiership don't play half their senior players.
