Pretty crazy. Glad it wasn't a more serious medical emergency e.g. heart attack.

Vic Gov cost cutting again blaming COVID having said that the Ambulance has been their parked in one of the tunnel for about 15mins now why isn't on the field already? They have an ambulance on standby at WAFL games FFS. Surely a professional sporting league can have one at the ground ready to go.
Ridiculous that the Vic government changed the requirement for a compulsory Ambulance at a major sporting events due to COVID.
Having said that APL should still be providing one what if this was a cardiac problem? Another piss poor decision from the amateurs at the APL.
Lol I follow this guy, didn't expect to see him posted on BF. Posts so much rubbish but at least this one was bang on. Broken clock etc. lol.
haha OK.. I've never heard of him just saw the tweet in my timeline thought it was funny
How predictable. What a dumb tackle.
A little more on the situation with the ambulance
The incident was made worse by the lack of an ambulance but A-Leagues O‘Rourke told the TV broadcast that it was no longer a requirement to have an ambulance at A-League games.
“In Nov. 2018, static ambulance services were withdrawn by Ambulance Victoria and instead Emergency Physicians were installed at the stadium.
“Emergency Physicians are doctors who have specialised in Emergency Medicine as specialist medical practitioners they are able to provide a higher level of care than a paramedic.
“That change was approved by PFA in 2018 and has been policy in Victoria ever since. In every other state, it remains policy to have static ambulances.“
Nope. My worry would be the speed to get the leg stabilised and pain relief asap. If they've got the medics in place who can do that it's only a delay in getting them to hospital.
The home club/A-League can still just pay for a St.John's Ambulance, which is ready to go at every AFL or Cricket game, performs the same role more in less in the circumstances you mentioned. In fact, Vic Ambulances weren't common at the footy until the late 00s, was always a St Johns ready to go.My concern would be for more life threatening issues and whether they have the staff on hand to adequately treat them. Especially playing in Australian summer heat.

On second read you are correct. I'm trying to do a half arsed job at work and as a result came up with a half arsed response full of self bias. This reads like you're disagreeing with me when this is what I think should be happening.
