A-League round 29, Its the final round of the home and away season and even through the Premiers Plate is done and dusted their is still a lot to play for. Up for grabs still is second spot and a lucrative AFC Champions League spot.* Mathematically there are still four teams in play to finish second realistically through its probably only down to three. Than there is the sixth and final finals spot still up for grabs. At the moment Adelaide United is in sixth but with a bye in the final round its all out of their hands the spot is Sydney FC's to take with a win or draw which brings us to the most important match of the round and maybe the season Saturday afternoon at AAMI Park between Melbourne City V Sydney FC. A win for City its second spot sealed a win or draw for Sydney FC and its finals sealed the implications are huge and it could also have effects on other matches in the round for second spot and positions in the six. A ladder as it stands is below you can make out the implications from the final round of matches.

Wouldn't make sense for us to make it given we only took 1 point off sydney. Only ourselves to blame if we miss out as we blew many points at home with amateur hour defending.

All to play for today, City battered Adelaide last week but couldn't find the net, will need to take our chances to lock in the bye and the ACL spot.

A win deals it and anything else will mean that likely for WU, WSW or the Victory would capitalise. It's really boom or bust for 2-7....

City up 3-0 at the break. A rare goal for Behich, plus Tilio and Caputo find the net.

Good finishing and getting in behind has created some clear cut chances. Sydney unlucky not to have found the net at least once.

So the elimination finals are set no matter what happens with Melbourne Victory tomorrow.

Western United V Adelaide United, should be at AAMI Park
Western Sydney V Melbourne Victory @ CommBank

Times and dates will be announced after the Melbourne Victory V Newcastle Jets match.

Carl gets another week, probably deserves it.

Don't rate him as a coach but you can't argue with his passion and love for the club
