Why would he get carded? Players leave the field to go to the dressing room all the time, usually for an injury or some thing similar. But busting for a piss is a kind of injury.

Do you have to tell the ref first or something?

Pretty sure the Ref has to give you permission to leave the field of play (unless you are playing the ball etc).

Sod that. Have you ever tried to run after someone when you are busting for a s**t? You just go and bugger the consequences. Still it is a weird thing to get a card for. How does that go on the scoresheet? Yellow Card for doing a number 2 without telling me?
