None really - it's still extraordinarily stupid in the current climate.

I was more making a point of fact, that smoke bombs and flares aren't the same thing. It doesn't do the game many favors having commentators screaming about flares when the fact is that there was no flare.

i cant think of another reason myself. linesmen are asked to look at so many things, sometimes it just isnt possible to see everything in such a short amount of time.

So its ok for the ref to reverse a yellow card decision against us and change it to a red but not ok for Chris Beath to award a goal before play was restarted after he seen with his own eyes that it was a goal.

Referees are such a blight on this league. Garruccio (sp?) should've been sent off before Caceres, that Finkler goal wasn't even close.
