A-league round 3 The Carl Robinson Cup! Newcastle V WSW should be interesting viewing considering what happen preseason, As well as Brisbane V Victory playing back to back matches, can the Victory learn anything from their loss last weekend?

Saturday 9th January
Macarthur FC V Wellington Phoenix, Campbelltown Stadium, 5:05pm ESDT

Note: Brisbane Roar V Melbourne Victory, Postponed

Interested to see how robinson goes this year, pretty easy to hate this wanderers side
His success with newcastle last year was impressive but it was with a relatively established side and some new high quality transfers.
Not sure this wanderers side is that strong and any failure will be met harshly.
He was able to get alot out of the young kids that Merrick wasn't able to get, especially toward the end of the tenure. From his wording in press conferences it seems that this years he has been given license to blood the young and build what he wants at the club.

Ugarkovic, petratos, back 3, o'donovan, ibini, Ledleyy coming in is a strong core.
Don't see it at the wanderers this year.
Duke and jurman are big losses but I could be wrong there is some talent there.

One case and Brisbane go in to lockdown! Bloody hell that's extreme.. The paranoia in these Premiers is amazing. But not surprising how easy it is for them to just lock us all up at a wimp when we all comply so easily.
