lol saying speed is the "voice" of the A-league, ouch!
Personally I can't stand Speed as an A-league caller to melodramatic. But as an AFL caller I think he's fine, probably because he doesn't use the some shitty catchphrases and tries to read all the players minds as he does with the A-league players.

It's the whole boys club mentality amongst commentators. With the A-League he is one of the boys so his commentary is sh*t. With the AFL, he is not one of the boys so his commentary is okay. Nothing to write home about but he isn't the worst.
