Hello. It's me.
I'M BACK BABY
And I'm ready to take up the offer from my successful (and ever-so-slightly unfinished) AFL to Soccer portfolio all those years ago, posted by someone who has been offline since they posted said offer/idea:
After you have done AFL-Soccer, are you going to do A-League to AFL?
And here's another person who enjoyed the idea:

This will be a Portfolio to waste some time while I am studying at University. This will involve both a home and away kit for each of the 10 current A-League clubs. I MAY consider including the defunct clubs, however I will decide when I get to the end.
Whilst I have been not competing in competitions, I have been designing and refining a new template (yes, another one) and I would appreciate and love any constructive criticism on it. Thank you!

So, anyway, enough rambling. Without further adieu, starting from the place where everyone starts... The top of the alphabet.

Followed the example of the current United kit and had some inspiration from (of course) the Adelaide Crows Home kit. I tried to steer away from side-panels as Adelaide United has used them in the past, and that would be too simple for me.. For Adelaide, at least.

P.S. If I have the same idea as someone, I apologise.
P.P.S. Bear with me as Uni work could swarm me at any minute.

The SANFL style badge on the chest, nice!

Fortunately worked well on the home kit.

*sigh* I spent at least half an hour messing with my textures and to get the number panel as dark as the front's navy.... only to realise that the panel's navy was coloured lighter to begin with....!!!
Anyway, to the design... I didn't want to use black and red as per their previous kit design, and I avoided sidepanels once again.
The lines are from United's logo. White is good because AFL has a white jumper policy for clashes (at least for interstate teams like Adelaide..) and even though this design is hit and miss, the colour scheme (based off the original Adelaide A-League away kit's colour scheme) makes it work. Maybe. No. Not really..
Any ideas on how to improve it?

And guess who's next up?

Are the wave thingy's meant to be jagged?

How did you draw them? If you used the pen tool, don't rasterise the swirl at all. That way it stays as a vector shape and keeps it smoothness, even if you resize it.
I don't have Illustrator as of yet. I reckon I made a slight error. I used the Magic Eraser tool on the original logo 'too late' in my process but I now know where I went wrong, so hopefully no more jagged edges.

The pen tool and vector shapes exist in Photoshop. It what I use as well.

To celebrate the Roar's glorious 5-0 win over the Victory, I thought I would post their home guernsey.

Yes, okay, it is like the Brisbane Lions. I'm sorry. I wasn't intending this, as both teams are obviously from Brisbane, BUT, the design just suits.
I got rid of the 'Brisbane Roar' text in the logo on the guernsey because, text on uniforms is unprofessional. I wanted the lion on its own, but, I couldn't achieve it. In the end, the ribbon works. White cuffs looks great and I think the black numbers suited better than white. I had white socks originally, but even though it looked great, it's not AFL.

As Brisbane Roar's home guernsey was deemed 'light' by the A-League's governing body, despite the black shorts, Brisbane went with a dark clash guernsey, still incorporating the yoke and the lion from the home design. The Roar never were a team that experimented with their designs. The rumoured designs were going to be dark grey with a light grey yoke instead, however it never eventuated.

There has been a theme going on with these first couple of teams, I know. Central Coast is next, so, expect different! ...

I promised different... Eh, here you go. .. Too much?

Based off of Gold Coast's wave guernsey. I tried to make a CCM monogram for the yellow space on the front, but I figured the 'M' would suffice (also, the Cs just did not work). This guernsey was considered a dark guernsey by the A-League.
I used a bit more black and white for Central Coast and these will be more prominent for the clash....

Would love an opinion on some of these, but if not that's cool as well.

If you don't like this guernsey, just believe that it represents the Mariners' current A-League form.

Id like to see a full logo based on that M honestly

Adore this. Reckon there are the makings of an excellent Gold Coast Suns guernsey in this concept too.

Would have looked funnier if there was a sauce bottle in there!

Still, great job Doni!

CCM decided to be a little more traditional with their away guernsey. They went all-out with their home, so a simple sash with a little bit of customisation works. Perhaps playing it safe? They stuck with the theme of using their logo as part of their designs, however. The graphic and the 'M'.
I think I uploaded this prematurely (by accident, mind you). There's a few errors I've made template-wise, however you do get the jist. It would only be a few small minor changes I'd make, so.. (inside collar, lessening shading).

..wait, who is alphabetically next again? No, it's not Canberra.

I've been enjoying these. I have a question though. Could you recolour this in Gold Coast Suns colours? Cheers.
