I'd rather have Nix and if anything add a second NZ team. If/when we get back to normal, having two NZ teams to bounce a 3pm timeslot between opens a really clean air piece in the schedule away from BBL/AFLW/NBL usually.

The government had provided a grant to keep us afloat last season
It's getting pretty dire by the sounds. And the rules for sorting associations to fly in/out of NZ don't kick in until April 12 - way too late.
The longer the pandemic dragged on the harder it was gonna be for the Nix to hang on and stay afloat. Having an NZL team was always gonna be a challenge for the A-League let alone during a pandemic.
It’s not a popular opinion I know but.. questions need to be asked now, are the Nix worth it for the future of the A-League? and most importantly for the benefit of Australian Football?
Pelligra, same person who was backing south Melbourne in their expansion bid, owns Adelaide Giants baseball side and has an involvement in the Adelaide 36ers. Looks like discussions continue over the amount og the club he buys.
CindySeriously why cant the 'Nix get an exemption for the rest of this season? Proof is in the pudding fans are desperate for football back over the ditch. I don't see the point now in a NZ border closure, omicron is everywhere anyway.
I am worried the problems the nix are having with attendances in Wollongong atm will delay the entrance of a Wollongong side.On the Nix discussion, I like having them in the league. And I think bringing back a team from Auckland would add another layer to the league. Having an NZ derby would get them fired up.
Ideally we also want teams from Tasmania, Canberra, Wollongong, and another in Queensland. Unfortunately with monsoon season during the A-League season, north Queensland probably miss out, as would Darwin but they probably don't have the numbers anyway.
There's at least five teams there that would be great to have in the league. Who knows what they'll choose in the end, if any... maybe they'll introduce promotion/relegation beforehand and not bother creating clubs. 17 clubs would take us to 32 matches plus finals.
It's all intriguing, I just hope whatever they do that they get it right!

So the club with the most toxic culture not only signs the coach who is supposedly the most toxic, but quickly extends him.
