Shame he had to go out seeing the club in the media like it is.

OOOHH God
Daryl Baldock was one of St.Kilda's best footballers and coaches.
Its a great shame he missed coaching a premiership for the Saints :-(
im sure he'd not think a great lot of the scandals riddling the club at the moment

Met him a couple of times. Once through footy , once through politics (no Im not the leader of the opposition) and a few times through the Gee Gees.
If he was a good a footballer as he was a bloke, he must of been a gun. R.I.P ,Doc.:(

R.I.P
Champion.

St Kilda players should have a look how Doc handled himself and take a note out of his book, an absoulte gentlemen and champion.

Don't be so precious, it was a genuine question. I added the 'um' to meet the quota of 6 characters and to illustrate my confusion as to why a thread like this is in a sub-forum dedicated to trolling.

Premature death, stroke caused complications. Tragedy?

and in other news 2000 Indians die, 1000 injured as trail derails...

A full life lived and enjoyed, what's to be sad about. Vale, but salute a life well lived and now ended.

RIP D.Baldock a massive loss to football and a Saint other Saints should look up to. I pity the man dying after the Saints latest disgressions. If the Saints had ANY backbone it would get its shit together for Baldocks love of the Saints

The word champion is thrown around far too much these days, but this bloke was the real thing.

A 179cm centre half forward in some absolute gun sides. Just take a minute to ponder that.

He remained a modest humble man who was passionately in love with his football club.

Vale, Darrel Baldock

a true survivor
he has been battling health concerns since he had to leave his coaching term of the saints in the 1990'1 due to a stroke- he has then managed to battle on for more than 12 years--
Now he can rest-

how many of todays footballers will deserve the title legend... not something easily gained.

yeah good on you he-man:rolleyes:
this is a footy forum, you're carrying on like this thread is over the top?
i'm sure there's a thread about non-football related tragedies in the srp board, if that floats your boat go and mod that but stop playing all high and mighty when a few opposition supporters attempt to pay their respects to a true great of the game.
grow up:thumbsd:

I'm sorry that you didn't get my intent, thinking that I don't respect Darrel Baldock... I do. I respect any good person that has lived a good life and has contributed more than they have taken. And as I've said, vale Baldock... but good people die every day eh?
