for those who think our list isn't that bad and we are not a bottom of the table team have a look how we compare player for player v adel + wce
hard thing to match up as each list is vastly different

overall we don't have too many winners head of head, we will get better and in the coming years catch up or pass but ATM we are way behind these 2 clubs

Bit confused as to how you are matching them. Is it positions or how you rank each player. Could you please explain. I would suggest the best way would be to rank each teams top 26 in your opinion and then do the comparison.

mostly ranked on positions they play
as i went deeper in the list it became harder to get exact match up (as such)

eg/
full back- Thornton, Bret ***Rutten, Ben *** Glass, Darren
full fwd- Fevola, Brendan *** Welsh, Scott *** Lynch, Quinten
tough midfielder- Bentick, Adam *** Reilly, Brent *** Waters, Beau
untried ruck- O'hAilpin, Aisake (R) *** Meesen, John *** Embley, Michael (R)

Thanks , that makes more sense. It is a hard comparison. I think our list is better than 16th , possible more 10-12. As you have noted though it does look like it has much scope for improvement.

the margin is very fine between success and failure

i posted last week if we scored 2 more goals and conceeded 1 less goal in each game this season we would have been
9 wins, 1 draw, 12 losses

IMO currently we are a bottom 4 list (i base this on output rather than potential)
but within 2 years i can see us climbing to a top 8 list (provided that players actually rach their potential)
not guaranteed to happen, but every chance it will.
we will need luck and a good run with injuries.

i think our wins are at
Houla, Fev, Scotland, Betts, Fisher, Simpson, Carrazzo... thats not bad,,, but in almosyt every other head to head we got killed... i think as a clubb having these 3rd rate players isnt helping .. guys like jackson etc.. arent benefiting by players like mclaren, teague, deluca getting games... we need to make risque choices now!

What about Whitnall, Waite , Murphy and Thornton. Not saying that all of these guys were a win but certainly not killed in comparison.

yeah definently not "killed" but beaten. Not saying that theyre no good, but in that line the other players were better.

Great work, bibi. This pretty well backs up what I have been saying on here in recent times. Looking to the future you just have to look for similar progress from our 2nd and 3rd year players as we have seen from Simpson this year and it will only be a matter of a couple of years and our head to head winners will be in the positive rather than in the negative as it is now.

Similar to what has been stated in another post, we are 3 goals (and about 20mins per game) away from teams in position 5-8 and probably 2-3 years development from being able to challenge for positions 1-4. We are certainly better, development wise, than what we were 12 months ago.

Nice stuff!!! Good work!

We're not as badly off as we'd imagaine. And all along it was thought we got the spoon because we had no talent! I think we know the real reason. It's not as if other sides have 38 superstars either.

the reason we're bottom is because of crappy coaching, fev forward line, and an inexperienced backline.
