Waking up in my hotel room in Burke street this morning I thought I would kill some time with this.

I am in Melbourne for a week.

Yesterday I did the Great Ocean Road tour on a bus and coming back we went via Colac. As the guy said on the mic that we were going to stop for dinner at Colac I yelled "the home of Luke Hodge".

The bus driver then tried to explain to a bus load of Americans,Poms and a couple from Perth who Hodgey was.

The bloke who I later found out was a Collingwood fan said "Luke Hodge was the captain of the team that won the AFL Premiership this year" I yelled out " The Back2Back captain" the guy then said "he has been a great player for a long time who plays above his height and weight and has on lots of occasions payed the price for it".

So here I was having a meal in Colac with a bus load of Americans and Poms and one WA couple when one Pom asked the bus driver " What was Colac's main points of interest" along with me and about 10 other people the group yelled out "the home of Luke Hodge"

Just a little story I thought I would share with all my fellow Hawks that gave me a warm glow about our Hodgey, and the way even a Collingwood fan saw the great man.

I was out that way yesterday, lost up the road somewhere trying to find waurn ponds hotel which my gps though was on the road out to colac for some reason. When i saw Colac road signs that is exactly what i thought, home of the great Luke Hodge.

If I were you, when fox studios approach you for the moviue rights, make sure you insist on a couple of things:

This guy plays the bus driver

and this guy plays hodge.

You forgot about the star of the show. the bloke who plays the role of TazHawk15

I've been through Colac a few times; its on the way to great beach towns like Apollo Bay, but not a place you would stop voluntarily

But it's now a holy place; as I'm driving through (quickly), I always say a silent prayer to the Great One!

There's always one loud-mouth bogan on every bus ride. Sit down and shut up.
Have relocated to the Langham, I can tell you as fact with the prices in this place it is Bogan free.

Unless You come to the front door for a look at the foyer.

Only being serious.

Still waiting for the bit when Luke Hodge walks in with the family for dinner, you jump up, tell all the Yanks, Poms etc that it's him, and bask in the glory of being in the same room as the great man. Then you discover it's actualy his younger brother, who is yet to be drafted.

Kebabs are a poor mans version of a souvlaki.
Sadly, its very hard to get a souva in Perth

Lambs in Lygon St always gets a visit from me when in Melb.
Lambs are slipping a bit but still good. I have driven along way to get a few kebabs at lambs, mainly because the rest of the kebab shops are shit. Anyone know of a good kebab shop in the inner west of melb?

By the look of Hodgey's brother there is a good one in Colac!
