The hegemony of capitalism is very seducing, which is why so many people subscribe to it so easily. But you are a fool if you think it is anyway an adequate or just way to distribute resources.
There is no perfect system of distributing resources. But it's a pretty effective way for people to leverage their abilities and earn a living through them. Does it result in outliers? Yes. But it has also resulted, in the developed world at least, in a system where the vast majority of people can earn a good living and at least make a good fist of whatever abilities or talents they possess.
It's hard to imagine another system doing so in a a relatively efficient and successful manner. Communism tried and failed spectacularly, and our societies are now too large and complex for an anarchist system to work, unless tried in isolation by true believer types.
