Wrong.

The Eagles were missing 5 of their BEST players.
Sydney were missing average workmanlike players.

Sydney are really going to struggle if losing players of that calibre disrupts their "team balance".

It's a lucky thing they've had such a good run with injuries, considering it's apparently so important that they have no injuries because if they lose three hacks, noone can come in to fill the "hack" role.

I pick Sydney to take a huge plunge this year if what you've said is true.
Of course, you are basing this after round 1, and the fact that Sydney are perenially slow starters:rolleyes:

You are pathetic, leave the Swans alone, they've got more character and more class than that of your team, not so much as Geelong, but much, much more than the Eagles. Focus on things in your own camp, or do you just like kicking a team when it is down?

I think Sydney will be right up there again this year actually, idiot.

But you didn't really read my post, did you?

If Crouch, LRT and Schneider are as important to Sydney as Embley, Cousins, Nicoski, Cox, and Fletcher are to West Coast, then they have serious depth issues and will no way be able to cover a few injuries.

However, as stated, they aren't.

The Eagles were missing a handful of dead-set champions, and beat a nigh-on full strength Sydney outfit.

They are the facts.

Sydney always start slow so I'm not surprised really. It's Round 1 I mean c'mon...this time last year everyone was saying we would win the premiership and we know how wrong that turned out.

The facts are that you have your head so far up your rear end to acknowledge the real facts. I hear the violins playing in the background when you post. The fact is you love sticking it to a side that has more heart and character than your side will ever have.

If anything, I thought the Eagles played better without those "dead-set champions"

Again, though, you are basing this on the first round, and Sydney are noutoriously slow starters.

hahaha your mob wouldnt know the first thing about heart and character. And the amount of comebacks and close wins West Coast have had in the last 12 months shows we have more character than any other club in the league. Backs against the wall, and we stuck it up all you pricks. Sucked in.

We were missing a few as well. Crouch? Schneider? LRT?

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What a joke? Your comparing these three average players to guns Like Cox, Cousins and Embley. Between the three they have done the following

1. 9 All Australian Jumpers - 6 to cousins and 2 to cox, one to Fletcher
2. 4 Best and Fairest - Cousins
3. Normsmith Medal - Embers
4. Brownlow medal- Cousins

Also we were missing Hansen, Flecther, Bulter, Nicoski and playing AT SYDNEY AS WELL.

Go eat dust.

3.
Fixed it for you.;)

"West Coast run over Geelong in the teams biggest comeback in its short history. Trailing by 54 points (9 Goals), they looked certain to suffer their 2nd loss for the season, but stormed back, kicking 12 goals to the Cats 5 in the second half."

You keep going on with this crap...but what exactly am I basing on the first round?

I have said already that I believe Sydney will be right up there once again this season. I am not basing this on round 1, I am basing this on the past few seasons of excellent football from the Red and White brigade.

All I am trying to say is that undermining the awesome efforts of the undermanned Eagles tonight with the excuse "We had a few useless hacks missing" is ridiculous, and the claims that the players missing on both sides were of near equal importance is just as ridiculous.

Essendon beat Sydney in Round 1 last year. As usual cocky, arrogant E-girls supporters getting ahead of themselves.
Just like you cocky, arrogant Scum supporters got ahead of yourselves last year.

You know what they say about throwing stones in glass houses...

Happy with that win.

Sent a shiver through the competition.

In the 2nd half Swans reminded us how good they can be also.

Looking forward to some Pies for dinner next week.
