Their official attendances are rubbish.

I went to the Port-Geelong fiasco and no way was there 26,000 odd people there - no way.

In the last quarter they put the attendance up at 24,000 odd on the main screen and 2 minutes later, changed it to 26,000 odd.

There would have been around 20,000 at a pinch IMO.

I remember after their previous home game, the attendance was posted at 26,000 odd.

Russell and crew on 5AA reckoned they must have counted every person there twice to reach that number.

Their crowd numbers are sus. Very sus.

I agree with you that they are fudging crowd numbers, there are less and less people going yet they are saying that they are getting 27k etc. Its blatantly obvious when watching it on tv. They have been getting mid 20s for a while now, but over the last couple of years 25k has never looked so small its not a coincidence. There is no way possible that there is 27k there against Geelong unless the members was full.

Since 1997 i have been going to the port games (centre wing in the outer) because my wife had a brain stroke and barracked for Port (however i support the opposition) and i believe that i was able to make a good guesstimate of the crowd sizes, however, over the last couple of years in particular i am convinced that the port crowds have been overstated.

members werent full either. They lie, as i said before because if they dont they will get in trouble with the AFL.

I dont get why they dont get many supporters. Jeez they call us a corportate product, as least we stay true to our club, not just hop on the bandwagon when the team is winning.
