It's easy to forget that the man and renowned wrestling aficionado that is probably most known as a Dragon actually started off life as a... (cough) Bomber. You see way back in S23, a young exuberant PhenomenalV1 started off as a Bombers rookie and clearly made a good fist of it first up, finishing with a whopping 1384 DT for the season, and his team would also nab a flag that year. Pretty good way to start I'd say.
He would go on to play another season for the Bombers, before moving across to the Dragons in S25, for which I'm told he required much hosing down and decontamination.
Phenom would play another 3 seasons for the Dragons, and was the top goal kicker in each of those seasons (awarded the famous Hatchy1992 Medal), and then even becoming captain in Season 27 (as well as notching up an All-SFA jumper) before going on a hiatus after that season.
He would return in S31 for the Hawks, then have another hiatus, before returning to the Dragons for S35 to S37, then back to the Hawks for two seasons, and now as of S40... back at the Dragons again! And reunited with his frenemy serial_thrilla all at the same time.
It is perhaps fitting then that Phenom racks up his 200th SFA game in the black, dark green and white (of which 106 games are for the Dragons - looking forward to some potential father sons/daughters!), slotted right back in to his home at Full Forward. He'd love to nab a Dragons flag too I'm sure as despite his great record as a Dragon, his hiatus periods always just overlapped with the seasons we lifted up the cup!
And as well known as Phenom is on and off a Qooty field, arguably what he is most known for is running the SFAEW (Sweet Football Association's Elite Wrestling), pitting the hoards of SFA denizens against each other in grueling wrestling matches, providing some great extra entertainment and engagement for the league, which undoubtedly will be part of Phenom's legacy for a long time to come.
So here's to you PhenomenalV1 , congrats on the double tonne and for being the Sweet legend you are
