I have read a few topics and have found that a couple of us lions supporters are/were associated with the Coorparoo footy club, which is now departed R.I.P.
I acually grew up mostly in the public bar which is now were all the AFLQ officers are now, my father played for the club from (i think??) the mid 70's til the late 80's /early 90's. I have read names such as Gibbo, Big Hutchy, Lorry Pendrick and the 84 grand final. i was there that day not to say i remember alot as i was only 4 years of age.
It is great to be able to go into the bar now and have all the fellas from the lions in there is brings back alot of memories from my younger days. lol.
other names we would remember would be Harry; Jack Robby; Kevin O'Keeffe, Kel Miller, Ron Appleton (aka Appo). Just to name a few names that i definatly remember.
