Wouldn't you expect groups of closer mates within a footy club?

There was also talk on Demonland of Scully and Blease being at a dinner with Watts, Gysberts and a couple of others (Trengove was one I think)

Bugger me we clutch at straws around here. Scully is going out for dinner with a few player so the means he can't possibly be going because he is mates with the players? Pull the other one.

It doesn't matter what happens with all that stuff. If he wants to stay he will. If he wants to go he will. No matter of frowning on the field or dinner with the players off the field will change that so stop acting like it does.

Use your head mate, Scully socializing with players shows that he isn't the 'outcast' that some people portrayed him to be.. especially earlier in the season by the media.

The fact that he seemingly fits in around the club would make leaving a harder decision.

I know you are sick of the speculation, it will keep coming. You don't need vent about Scully threads in every Scully thread!

Gary Ablett would have been doing the same thing at Geelong. Did he stay? No.

I just get annoyed about the fact that we think him hanging around the players makes it harder for him to leave. It's simply not true. What, do we think he sits at home with the lights off doing nothing while the players go and do things together? We don't know anything about the guy apart from reports, let me repeat that, REPORTS, that he is an introvert. How do we really know what he's like? Here's the answer - we don't. So stop using this stuff as an excuse to make yourself feel better about the situation.

And if we keep making Scully threads I'll keep venting. You can keep positive and/or neutral all you like. :thumbsu:

Your probably right, I'm hanging on to these type of reports to get a vibe that he will stay with the club.

I'm not going to make excuses for that. :thumbsu:

I have been on the same roller coaster that you all have been on with all the Scully speculation but I have come to the realisation that at the end of the day Tom has to do what Tom thinks is in his best interests. If that is to leave and chase the coin at the GWS then I respect that and if its staying at Melbourne and becoming a one club legend then I will respect that decision even more.

He may have signed something before he said he hadn't spoken to the GWS but he would have been acting under advice from his management and we all seem to forget that Tom is a young man with alot on his plate. Hell I know I made more than my share of mistakes when I was his age and thats why I will still support and respect Skulls if he decides to move on to the GWS. He must be under an enormous amount of pressure and I think the club has done well to support his stance in the media and I hope they are doing the same behind closed doors.

So I am going to enjoy watching a future super star play some good footy for our great club for the rest of the year and keep my fingers crossed that he decides to commit to the Dees. Go Dees and go Skulls.

LOL I spelt it like that due to me normally calling Mormon's Merman's :D

I can't remember now, it was discussed somewhere on here a few months ago? Is it incorrect?

A wise man once said "Never Trust a man that doesn't drink."

I hope for your sakes that he stays, the whole thing stinks. The AFL have created this, how many number one draft picks are these pricks going after? First Marc Murphy who happily for Carlton turned them down and they also offered Mathew Kreuzer "Ablett" like money who also turned them down.
I hope no one goes and the whole thing is a big disaster.
