this includes delistings and trades and as we all know these 5 have already gone
Shaw Morison Lokan Williams Davidson
Also these could be on their way
Hall Walker King Woewodin Johnson Leonard Davis Cole

Obviously all 13 wont go but it could be close

If you delist 8 players from your list does that mean you have to draft 8 people

Malthouse's famous bread roll comment was in relation to not drafting guys at picks 70+.

I personally would only delist King from here.

That's six down. Whilst I am the President of the Fanny Fan Club, I am not overly excited about elevating him, but I think it will be done. Hertier might get bumped up. Davies may, but i would wait until next year.

The all of a sudden, you might only be four down. Then maybe you can trade a Woey, J-Clo, Ritchie, for a player you want, or alternatively a stronger draft position. We should try and keep all our picks under pick 50.

Agree we should keep and use all picks under 50. Trade Cole and/or Woey for additional third round pick or exchange if possible. Delist Hall for Fanning; King for Obrien and see if there's post-trade room for Davies to come up to make the "young era" we hear so m uch of from MM playing together. Leave if possible one gap for PSD pick up in case Salopek etc come along in second position. I think the early delists are to show "we mean business", but the mechanics of trading sleight of hands still have to weave their nefarious business now.

Hall: Possible Delist.
Walker: Stay.
King: Delist.
Woewodin: Possible Delist.
Johnson: Definite Stay.
Leonard: Delist. :(
Davis: Possible Trade.
Cole: Possible Trade.

you could possibly keep Davies on rookie list as there will be players on long term injury list at start of next year and he could go up for the start of the season - r.shaw will probably be not playing for the first 6 or so weeks. The players we have delisted are the obvious choices.

Hard decisions on Davis Woey Lonie Cole Obree King Walker J Cloke (why keep him and not play him).

Class ready made mid fielder must be got ..ie. BARTEL - and chase Marc Murphy in the national draft...any thoughts.......

T'was actually fearless leader who made that comment, not Mick.
Oh well, Malthouse made a similar comment about not drafting too high in the draft, so the rest of me post stands!

thought leon davis was good around the ground and close to the goals last night, would add good depth to an already potent foward line when you mention T.Cloke, A.Rocca, C.Tarrant as talls, S.Rusling can play tall, B.Caracella, A.Didak, C.Egan and when you throw buckley in there it sounds very potent and looks good on paper but needs to be good on the ground.

Safe (well everyone has their price but is unlikely to get delisted/offloaded):
Didak, Buckley, Holland, Clement, Caracella, Wakelin, Egan, Burns, Licuria, Tarrant, R.Shaw, Rocca, Fraser, Maxwell, Rusling, T.Cloke, Iacobucci, H.Shaw, Davies, O'Brien

The rest will be shopped around heavily or are in danger of being delisted.

as mr kerrigan once said 'tell 'em their dreaming'

no one is going to want to trade for players from a bottom side who played ordinary all year e.g. woewodin/cole

they might pick them up in the psd but would not trade any player of value or a pick below 85

From an outside perspective - what did you guys make of the delistings starting before the end of the season? This isn't a troll, but I thought it was disappointing. Surely it could wait until the final game was out of the way? Was there a reason that they went early?

I think it was weird, but technically the final game was out of the way for the guys who got delisted, because the VFL season had ended.

Probably accellerated by the actions of Tony Shaw and Brayden.

It doesn't really matter. To be honest, I'm more relaxed knowing that a couple of those players are definitely gone!
