I also tipped the last 4 rounds and feel i did so honestly and came up with this...

This would give us Port in an Elimination final on the first week.... and if we get over that, WC in a Semi the week after, then getting better with Hawthorn in the Prelim and Geelong in the Grand Final.

Not gonna happen but is fun to imagine.

I have us dropping next week, winning the next two at home (both eight point games...well, six point games since both the Dogs and Lions have a draw). Based on other results I have put in that would have us in 8th spot heading into the last round and facing Collingwood at the Dome.

I'm too conflicted to make an unbiased decision on that game, but all we have to know is that destiny would be in our own hands and that there'd be four teams who could all overtake us.

Geelong won't play any finals at Skilled. I'd suggest if we were to play 'home' finals against interstate sides, we'd play at Telstra Dome, where we probably play better anyway.

Playing round on All The Stats myself and I still give us a half a chance to make the eight. If we can upset Geelong this week that would also increase significantly. A few results went our way on the weekend and I can see us just sneaking in on 12 wins. Would still need some results to go our way and win three of our last four, but it is possible.

We really did stuff ourselves up throughout the season though. Dropping games like the one against Melbourne, Essendon in rnd 1 and not being able to win the close ones like against Freo and St Kilda.

I still think we would be a team to worry about if we were able to make it, just unlikely that we will make it.

I'm not sure whether we'll beat collingwood or geelong, but i've got us "pencilled" in for 3 of the last 4 games... fingers crossed!!

If there's something to play for come round 22 i'm looking into heading over to get behind the boys when we take on the colliwobbles. Anyone else from BF gonna be heading to that game ??

Would love to have gone this weekend but given it's a sunday game and working monday difficult to get an affordable flight home in time!

I am going to put a few bucks on the Blues to beat Port Power this week. I think Carlton will be under alot of pressure to prove they aren't tanking and will come out firing.

Hmm I can't see us going past Brisbane atm unfortunately.
I'd rather us losing a few games so we can play pfeiff and co. Also so that we obtain a higher draft selection.

When Brisbane make the finals, they are going to do some serious damage to the heavyweights.

Matthews is a genius and their team of youngsters are playing very well together heading into the finals.

Their midfield are extremely good at winning the hard-ball & clearances (they also run with it breaking the lines at every chance possible)....any team that can do that whilst having J. Brown and J. Brennan in your forward line WILL have a chance do upset higher rated teams.

Way too many permutations at the moment.

IMO:

win all 4 games - certainty to play in the finals (given teams competing for the 8 are playing each other regularly)

win 3/4 games - probably make the finals.

win 2/4 games - only an outside chance of making the finals.

win 1/4 games - get a reasonable draft pick.

Unless some of the sides on 10 or 11 wins fall over completely, 13 wins or 12 1/2 wins is the only way we will get there.

The reality is given the draw coming up. Port and Hawthorn falling over are our only hope of getting there with 12 wins...and Port and Hawthorn play each other in that period.

The Collingwood result was a beauty for us.

Collingwoods draw looked very cosy a few weeks ago and we all just assumed they were certainties for the finals but watching them live the last couple of weeks they really have started to trail off.

Got smashed by a hot Brisbane. Only just got over a Carlton side that didn't really want to win in the final quarter. They were very ordinary against the Tigers and lost to a side that had only won 1 1/2 games. Play the Dees next week who in terms of draft picks can afford to win and are playing in their captains 300th, the first Melbourne player to do so. Play Sydney who I would expect to win. And play us in the final round in a 50/50 contest.

There draw was easy a couple of weeks back but the way they are playing at the moment they are still a long way off finals. I'll be barracking bloody hard for Melbourne next week as if they upset the Pies then it is highly possible they won't make it.

In terms of Adelaide hopefully results keep going our way. This week is a hard one but as a minimum we must win the final three games. If we can do that I think we can make the finals and actually make a difference in the finals. Some hard games in the final three rounds but all of them are very achievable and if we find some form we should win them.
