Whilst mowing the lawn this morning, i was lining all the ducks of the 1990 season v this season.

We all know them by now, last mvp, last time we were on top of the ladder in august, last team to beat us hawthorn ... etc ..

Anyway i was struck by the fact that a draw in the final series of 1990, also involving the pies cause the GF to move to the first week in October.

With this in mine i have place a few punts on today in honour of 1990.

Norm Smith - Steele (Shaw 22)
Margin - 40+
Actual Margin 47-48 (48)
And Leading Goalkicker - Beams (Barwick) and Johnson (Brown) .. just hoping presti is not a late change.

Anyway this is my omen for the day. Probably way off base, but i am sticking to it.
