Left Brisbane to come to Collingwood to play finals.
There's some logic problem here.

Has anyone considered that, as captain, Bucks may be responsible to an extent for the malaise that collingwood is in ?

I think the problem is that he doesn't really have any other support.
The on-field leadership at Collingwood is very poor. The only real senior players are Buckley, Williams and Burns.
That's the problem with the whole club. Those 3 players are the only decent footballers above the age of 22.

Because from the 1990 draft until the 1997 draft Scott Burns is the only player who has made the grade.

Jaffa, North had the same problem - hopeless at the draft table.
So now we just trade Draft Picks (or Daft Pricks) away, and pick up a couple of ready mades each year.
all our good picks are high numbers, Pickett late 50s, Clayton late 80s.
Maybe Brady Rawlings and Shannon Watt will change my thinking of this, but in a few years.

The reason North haven't picked up many good young kids - although there are a few Makepeace and Lange come to mind - is because they have finished high up on the table at the end of the year and are left with the draft "scraps".

My fav (think I've mentioned this before) is the high draft pick we got from Carlton from giving them Glen Hawker at the end of his albeit illustrious career...
