How many contact hours do you have opposed to actual hours of attendance?

i seem to just be falling back into old patterns. went to every hour of my 15hr wk initially and this week ive been to an incredibly stimulating 3hrs...
not a bad effort ay?

I do 12 hours. I try to get to most of them but it doesn't always work out like that ;)

If I wanted I would only have to show up an hour a week. Only one tute takes attendances.

I probably attend 12 of 14 hours regularly, the other two now and then. I'm yet to do any work at home, aside from an assignment I did in two hours and nailed an HD :D...

So I have 24 hours class time a week and 15 hours contact time a week. That's a lot for me!

Yes, it is a lot considering your topics are:
-Operate a personal computer
-Operate a word processing application
-Operate a spreadsheet application
-Operate a database application
-Operate a presentation package
-Send and retrieve information over the Internet using browsers and email

got 20 hours a week and do about 0 outside uni. Attend 19 hours as the other hour is a tut and the tutor said i didnt need to come as the first part of the course i did year 11, its the second part of the course i aint learned.

I have 9 contact hours, usually i'm there for all 9 hours, sometimes its only 7hrs though! I do a heap of work outside of uni(doing one subject off campus) so kinda makes up for the lack of hours at uni!

Kate :)

I have 24 contact hours, and I usually do about 15 hours a week while at uni, in between classes. As soon as I get home (about 17 to 1800) thats it, no more for me.

Best time of year, student elections. Why? It is always funny getting to uni at my normal time (0830 or 0930) and seeing the bleary eyed Arts students (B. Attendence: the only ones who actually have the time to run for student office) actually out of bed, trying to campaign to the students who get to uni hours before they usually would :D:D

I once asked this girl how many contact hours a week she had......she replied 5! I nearly crapped myself when she confirmed that she was taking a full load. Oh well, each to their own.

Cheers, and happy studying,

Kasey

Last weke I kouldn't spill inginear, now I are one! ;)

I have 9 contact hours, whicn means one and a half days, yet I'm considered a full time student. Not bad. :)

I only actually attend 7 hours though because I have a half hour clash between a class and a lecture, and no point in interupting a lecture half an hour into it right?

When i was at uni ... i averaged about 30 contact hours a week. That was Bio-med Science ... if you are unlucky enough to study Engineering ... expect 35+ p/w. Its a fair bit when you have to balance study and casual work (if you chose to work during semester).

Yeah, I'm lucky I don't have to work. I have a huge amount of respect for the 'normal' students who have to juggle the demands of a B.Eng with work and other stuff, and then do really well academically. Helps if they live with their parents I think, at least then rent isn't an issue. Can lead to more hassle though :D

Cheers,

Kasey

I have 10-12 hours of contact time and I just do what I have to for homework rather than setting myself a set time for study. I hate that 'cos then I feel bad if I don't do it all.

I'm doing a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice/Bachelor of Arts (Modern Greek) and I'm still kinda bored half the time...

Have 12 contact hours and so far have a 100% attendance rate :)

I've found that I've been doing more extra work outside uni hours, typing assignments and preparing talks.

My timetable changes every week. Been up to 32 a week so far this semester. (This week's a one-off light one though at 22). 5 days, 8 til 5. I hate it.
