I noticed St Bedes posted their selected team up on the VAFA website...

Is this now required by the VAFA?

Will there be fines if teams do not do this or changes to the selected teams are made?

OB vs SBMT - Lost a couple but Luke Collins to win Woodrow and Beefcakes Bert Collins to kick 60 plus in his new role up forward
OT v Marc - Too many outs for an already depleted Marc
Coll v OX - Xavs to start slow
UBL v OS - OS will begin season well but wilt - Passador to kick a bag
DLS v OM - DLS to continue their winning ways

Sargeant copped four at the tribunal last night. This will only intensify the bad blood between the two clubs. Surely they could have gone out for ice-cream and sorted it out and paid for Blumfield medical expenses, instead of resorting to the scrutiny from the inconsistent tribunal. This form of retribution may come back to haunt Collegians in the future.

Also, confirmed that Old Brighton's long-kicking blonde winger, Mason, has done his knee and is out for the season. This follows on from the knee injury sustained by young ruckman Jack Cannon from the same game.

Also, returning ruckman Josh Homan has done his calf and will be out for the first couple.

Not a good start for the Tonners, though they have been very competitive during the practice matches and fancy themselves with a new hardened approach to their footy drilled into them by their coach. I think they will give their all and stay up in A-grade ahead of Marcellin and Trinity.

Yeah I heard that OB had 3 ACL's in the same praccy match

Tiges to kick off the season by unveiling some quality recruits and win by more than a few.
Marc over a depleted OT, this may be the only winnable games for both clubs this year.
Collegiens over OX by 20 points.
Old Scotch to just beat Uni Blues
De La over a good OM's.

I believe they lost by three goals against casey who had a few melbourne listed players running around. De La were missing a few also.

I heard that they were 9 goals down at 1/4 time? Came back to draw even before Casey kicked a couple in a row.

OB vs SBMT - OB seemed to be going ok after a mass exit but if the rumours are true about the injuries from the praccy's, they are in big strife!
OT v Marc - OT's without cults and krakour will struggle more than they did in 08, Marc have a little bit of an edge from staying in A grade.
Coll v OX - Xavs looking the goods again this year, lost a couple in the middle, but they are easily replaced guys from that area (relatively), add biddles and unless you have a multi pronged forward line you are in trouble!
UBL v OS - I can't go past their signings... too good...
DLS v OM - if they really did put Casey 1's through their paces then watch out!! Although I do think OM's will be mid-range this year, much more impressive than the tripe that came up from B grade last year... No offence Marc, you did better than expected!

St.Bedes by 13 over OB in a physical contest...OB seemed to go the man rather than the ball. Would be good to hear from some Collegian fans to see if this was the case in there praccy match against the Tonners.

As you can read from previous post after the Coll vs OB praccy, OB were physical and one player was reprimanded with a 4 week suspension for smacking a bloke 50m off the ball. It seems to be a tactic they are taking into the season.

Well I'm off to my usual good start, we'll see how quickly I fall by the wayside. Thought it was relatively easy this week, Xavs going down threw a few off!

Rules: get your tips in by kickoff. If you miss your tips, you will get the same as the person who picked worst that round. If you miss three in a row, you'll be dropped from the leaderboard.
