Went & had a look at Marcellin v Upper Ferntree Gully (EFL 3rd Div) as a neutral & I hope for Marcellins cause they had many out. Completely outplayed in all facets of the game. Lucky for them the senior game went only for 3 quarters.
If Marcellin dish that up they will not win a game all season.

De La playing Casey Scorpians tonight at Casey.

Will be interesting to see how De La go, but all depends on who plays.

I believe they lost by three goals against casey who had a few melbourne listed players running around. De La were missing a few also.

The departures of MacLaren, Cullinan, L. Considine (inj), Romanin (ret) and Marson (ret) undoubtedly hurt the Eagles, but with a very young team adapting to a new coaching style, there is hope for some much needed improvement.

Round 1 this Saturday and it has seemed like an eternity since OX hung on to defeat DLS in last years GF. My selections for the upcoming round

OB v SBMT - SBMT for mine too many exists at Beach Rd (20 points)
OT v M - flip of the coin, OT just even with culterra departing (12 points)
OC v OX - OC in a close one (1 point)
UB v OS - UB looked good against DLS in a praccy game and thats good enough for me (15 points)
DLS v OM - DLS in front of a big crowd at Dairy Bell, too many winners all over the ground (27 points)

Will someone be good enough to co-ordinate the tipping again this year?

STMT to beat OBG.
OT to beat Marc
OX to beat OC
UB to beat OS
DLS to beat OM

Does anyone know how the red knob from OB went last night in at the
tribunal?

The VAFA Tribunal will sit on Tuesday 6 April at 7:30 pm.

So who has the mail from Elsternwick tonight?

I'll do the tables again, its no hassle.

Zero knowledge coming in, so here are my wild guesses.

OB vs SBMT
OT v Marc
Coll v OX
UBL v OS
DLS v OM

Xavs for a slow start, Scotch because they are the only team I've seen recently and they looked fairly sharp. Brighton may cause an upset. Trinity and Marcellin a bit of a coin toss.

Stirring game for OS out at East Ringwood (EFL Div 1) yesterday. First ten minutes looked very even and I thought we were in for a cracker but that was just the sides testing each other out.

The Roos played fairly hard and uncompromising footy, but Scotch began showing a mismatch in speed and skills from late in the first. By the end of the third OS were all over them like herpes and ran away with it in the last to finish 23-10-148 to 12-8-80.

Passador will have to work on his accuracy, maybe he was just breaking in a new pair of kicking boots. Took some strong marks though.

Must admit that by the end of the game, I was looking at the East Ringwood players and wondering "They get *paid* for this???" These guys wouldn't trouble most B Section sides.

Based on what I saw last year, OS are probably looking at a solid fifth or sixth spot if they can keep injuries at bay.

Both DeLaSalle & Old Scotch will go very well considering the amount of money they are spending on players, both clubs have recruited players from clubs that pay there players and the majority of them have jobs!

Sargeant copped four at the tribunal last night. This will only intensify the bad blood between the two clubs. Surely they could have gone out for ice-cream and sorted it out and paid for Blumfield medical expenses, instead of resorting to the scrutiny from the inconsistent tribunal. This form of retribution may come back to haunt Collegians in the future.

Also, confirmed that Old Brighton's long-kicking blonde winger, Mason, has done his knee and is out for the season. This follows on from the knee injury sustained by young ruckman Jack Cannon from the same game.

Also, returning ruckman Josh Homan has done his calf and will be out for the first couple.

Not a good start for the Tonners, though they have been very competitive during the practice matches and fancy themselves with a new hardened approach to their footy drilled into them by their coach. I think they will give their all and stay up in A-grade ahead of Marcellin and Trinity.

Not much coming out of the Bogans, I see big Dan Poynton has left the fold too.
Heres my tip of the year, St Bedes to get relegated...out go Phibbs, Groves, L Wintle, Poynton, Mc Gettigan to name but a few. Add to that a coach with a mundane personality and gameplan, and it spells trouble. Any Tigers lads to care to post here and reply?

That might be a bit of a big call GOI!

Eagles to make the four would be a better bet for mine!

Can I politely request that you go back to the Southern Football League forum where you come from. That way the intelligent people involved here will not be subjected to the idiotic statements that you often post. I am sure their may be one person at St Kilda City who can interpret this post for you if these words are a little to big for you.

Interesting words Wack

A number of things:

1) I have never posted on the Southern Football League forum
2) Stating that something is a bit rich usually means that what has been said is a little over the top.
3) K2 relates to K2 Asset management a company that has been mentioned on this thread a number of times as an alledged employer of OS players.

I know De La develop their own players as I have been through the system myself and by reviewing posts over the last 2-3 seasons you could see that I support DLS and follow them with intent.

In concluding I can only question your own intelligence and in the future do some homework before shooting your mouth off.

Sorry God yeah my mistake. The comment was intended for Backtoback08. I placed it in the wrong spot. I have now rectified my mistake. Cheers
