Just received an email from the weagles, offering a GREAT bargain. They are selling guernseys worn & framed by the following players, Drew Banfield, Mitchell White & Ashley McIntosh for $295, a saving of $700 on the original price of $995.
Once they wouldn't have had to reduce the price of their merchandise.

I am a paid up member of Freo, in the mail last week I received a letter thanking me for my support of the Eagles last year and encouraging me to become a member this year.

The only tickets I bought last year was to see them play Fremantle and Im snaky that Ticket Master supplied them with my details (without my permision).

Things must be bad when they are trying to get Fremantle members to join!

I can honestly say that the LAST team I would join is the eagles I'd even rather join collingwood!!

Actually Balip, I've sent your details on to my Lulie Street contacts and you should get some nice glossy Collingwood material in the post any day now.

What I can't understand is why a football jumper suddenly increases in value just because it's been worn by a league player. Big hairy deal.

Unless, of course, it's a true collector's item ... like the one worn by Andrew Schauble in his last game for Collingwood, which was also the last game at Victoria Park. Schaubs used to wear number 12, but Collingwood was so hard up in those days that they were short of number 12 guernseys. So they actually got a number 2 jumper and wote a 1 in front of it ... in texta.

I'm not kidding.

If you have ever posted on the eagles forum that is how they got your email. It seems that anyone who has visited their forum are getting these emails, boy are they getting desperate.

Sad isn't it? You'd think they'd look for the reason behind members not renewing (real members, not bandwagoners before you start on that

), instead of wasting time trying to convert and recruit new members.....

I am a member and will stay that way, but I find being offered merchandise in return for signing them up more members quite embarrassing.

btw- think the Dockers are really marketing themselves well at the moment... I hope my lot are taking notes!

They are hopeless in that regard.
