Must be a pretty frustrating guy to have on your team. Every time I saw him disposal of it by foot it was a straight turn over or at least put your team under pressure.

Ummm, in the first quarter he setup about 3-4 shots on goal via good kicking... he was one of the key players who kept us from being blown out early.

dont think he turned it over at all in the first half. he put in some very nicely weighted kicks too.

he went through a patch in the 2nd half where about 5 kicks in a row were turnovers. despite this, i'm still really happy with his game, most of those kicks were just a bit too ambitious. i'd rather he's taking offensive risks than not though, he needs to be an attacking weapon in the midfield.

I don't know where to find clangers/efficiency but from what I saw of him seemed to turn over every kick (not sure why trying to hit targets inside 50 is "not really" a disposal by foot). Anyway, was just an honest observation.

Then you didn't watch the whole game.

You couldn't have watched the whole game. How much of it did you watch?

Was pretty happy with how he went yesterday. Yeah, he faded a bit late with a few shanks once the game was beyond doubt, but overall thought he gave us good run when it counted.

Hope he keeps his spot. Confidence is back, along with the flowing mane :D

Yeah, I put the disposal issues at the end of the game down to fitness. He didn't have the closing down speed at the tend that he displayed in the first half. Encouraging signs and hopefully he builds on this.

I have always rated him (Richmond 2009 game was outstanding) but obviously the coaches thought he had a few things to work on before he got an extended run. He is a ball winner and has very quick hands, a couple of his handpasses were kerr like, he still needs to work on his kicking and fitness but has now put a couple of good games in a row. The depth in the midfield is improving and with players like stevens banging down the door it can only get better.

Priddis and Shuey might have a little to say about that. I reckon Scooter would fancy himself as well, plus possibly a few others.
True, but still think he deserves more burn at Cox's feet. We rely on Kerr way too heavily at this point.

Tom's done well to improve his link up game, field kicking etc.

Clear signs of improvement. :thumbsu:

A subjective observation, which is all an observation can ever be.

Claiming it to be honest is meaningless.

Not all of it maybe I must have turned it on during a purple patch of his. Have nothing against the guy.

Yeah you're probably right. There was a point in the last quarter where all his kicks went out of bounds, or straight to the opposition. There was one under not much pressure with about 4 minutes to go, kicks inside 50, to hit a Carlton player on the chest.

Hopefully the errors fade out eventually.

In his defense that kick in the fwd 50 was going direct to a leading eagle but a sneaky eddy betts cut it off. I put it down after watching the game a 2nd time to sneaky betts as opposed to a poor kick.

Yep, he definitely disappeared a bit in the second half. But this is to be expected given that he missed a few weeks of game time due to being listed as emergency, travelling with the team and not being able to play for Claremont.

Possibly why Woosh didn't sub him, trying to gets some run into his legs. Hopefully he can start putting together consistent 4 quarter efforts soon so that all his haters stop pre-loading their "Changes for next Round" thread replies with OUT: Swift

I hold much man love for the Swift.

just wish he had an extra yard or two of pace - he seems slow as and with the disposal - fletcher mk II

love to be proven wrong

He will get better... Simply said. Just look at the transformation of McKenzie, Smith, Scott Selwood and Shuey taking place before our eyes.

Watch his speed to a lose ball near a pack and tell me he's slow. :o
