In theory, Kepler Bradley is the 3rd best player in the draft. The only thing is, the last thing we need is another ruckman.

It will be interesting to see how Craig Cameron goes. Do we go for the best available (Bradley) or go for McLean, probably the 5th-6th best available, but exactly what we need?

I would go with the latter.

1. WB - Cooney
2. Carlton - Tenace
3. Melbourne - Bradley
4. WB - Chaplin
5. Melbourne - McLean
6. Geelong - Watts
7. Richmond - Sylvia
8. St Kilda - Clarke
9. Kangaroos - Dunn
10. Hawthorn - Ray
Good effort.

But as I said in my previous post, I hope we don't go for Bradley.

Johnathon.E to be honest I have not agreed with one thing you have said about the draft this year and it's potential draftees.

i think he just leeches off the ppl on the board that have a clue

Moody last season was considered the next big thing and seen as a potential top pick.
Suddenly after a few injuries hes not rated anywhere near that highly.
I just hope he is still around when freo have a pick.
Also I may be complete wrong but werent Freo also looking at taking Ray under the father son rule?

You wish Sabre. Freo haven't been in the competition long enough to even have a father/son deal yet! Unless Ben Allan or something had kids when he was 10! :D

can anyone tell my about Thomas CORBETT-WYNNE from the South Fremantle Colts. He had a terrific year with them and kicked a lot of goals. Does anyone know about him or if he will be drafted?

What is it that you don't agree with?

- Cooney won't go 1?

- Walker and Ray won't be elite players?

- Tenace is going to be a very very good player?

- Watts is slow and can't turn?

- McLean is tough, but a plodder?

- Sylvia is Top 10 for sure?

Why don't you have a crack so we can compare?

It will certainly be worth revisiting come draft day.

I can't really tell on 3 quarters of footy, but I wouldn't think so. He looked like the sort of bloke who will play Ammos/Local footy, end up kicking 1000 goals.

I don't think McLean is a plodder - not super quick like Tenace or Walker, but certainly not slow. He is more athletic than Sam Mitchell was at under 18 level - give him a couple of pre-seasons at AFL level and he'd be OK.

My only concern with McLean is he is a man playing in a boy's comp, and might look a bit better than he actually is because of it. But the kid can play.

Sylvia's height shouldn't be a problem - he was going great in the midfield until he got OP. The fact he is still able to contribute up forward just shows what a versatile player he is.

McLean - I agree he is a good player, a touch slow, but good. I had him in the first round. But talk of him in top 3 or 5 is crazy.

Sylvia - is at least 180. No problem with height, and he can take a great mark.

My prediction is

1.Bulldogs-Cooney
2.Carlton-Kepler
3.Melbourne- Chaplin
4.Bulldogs-Tenace
5.Melbourne-Watts
6.Richmond-Mclean
7.Geelong-Dunn
8.St Kilda-Clarke
9.Roos-Sylvia
10.Hawthorn-Ray

Top 10 Smokey- Matthew Spencer-WA (Wafl Colts B&F)

Doubt we will pick 2 midfielders but if we do it means Rohde and Clayton have a lot of faith in Walsh,Wight,Minson and Harris stepping up. I am not as confident about that.
What your list shows is that the sides that missed the finals will have at least one top line 18 year old on their lists in 2004.

Really does read the play well and his marking is a real feature.
I rate him highly but question if his height, 182cm, might work against him if clubs believe he is better suited to playing as a forward rather than as a utility

Carlton will pick a midfielder, and the dogs will not pick 2 midfiedlers.

I think most likely is:

Cooney
Tennace
a midfielder
Bradley
Chaplin

This order basicly depends on how much melbourne values a midfielder over a KPP.

Corbett-Wynne definitely shows alot, but is a specialists foward pocket player. I like watching him through the middle when he is on as he can be quite exciting.

In regards to Spencer i think he is a great player.....but not mobile enough for KPP and is going to be too short to be a ruckman. This is where his problem lies. I sincerely hope he gets drafted but he wouldnt go top 10 i would imagine

Keppler Bradley or Matt Spencer

Who will go first Keppler performed well at the National Champion ships but Matt Spencer has beaten him every time they have played on each other.
Matt Spencer won the Jack Clarke medal for fairest & best in colts and he missed the last 5 games because he played reserves.
I think they will both go pretty early what do you think.

Undertaker I agree with you whole heartedly on this matter. Spencer is a better ruckman than Kepler and deserves to get drafted. Deserved winner of JC Medal.

However the problems i see for Spanner is he may not be tall enough to be a ruckman and agility for KPP may be a little low. This is why i see him slipping down the order. He should get drafted though
