Just thought I'd pass on a bit of gossip I heard, I'm not a Blues supporter so take it with a grain of salt if you will ...
A mate of mine from WA (I'm in Vic but we're in regular contact) is good friends with Paul Bower, and reckons that the Blues were very keen when they interviewed him and that they'd possibly pick him up at #20 should he be available ...
So, not exactly Earth-shattering, but I thought y'all might appreciate the whisper ...

yeh they would take him if he is available, but he almost certainly wont be. Lucy would be more likely.

Just read his bio on Footy Draft and could well be a good pick up at #20. Any chance that he would suffer from homesickness and want to return to WA at some time?

Or Grant Birchall. He's not too far away on footydraft and he's an exciting defensive prospect.
Is he a KPP player or a midfielder? It's a little confusing because of his height and high possession games.

Why? I hope that's because they're the best available footballers not because they're defenders.
I cannot see us not going for a defender at pick 20. Unless a top 10 pick (like Jones, Drum or Swallow) slipped to 20, we should be taking a defender. We desperatley need another young defender coming through.

Everyone says Hartlett will be a defender, but he looks a little lost in defence, from what I saw in the Bullants games, and is more of a forward

So your saying that if we did go for a defender that we would want a Presti over a Scarlett type defender?

Not that I would know really having not seen much either personally.

Birchall can play either Wing, Half Back Flank or Key Position Back which means he won't be getting to 20. If he does, Carlton would take him without batting an eye.

Good get CC. :thumbsu:

Have you got any more inside info. on Bower ? ie is he keen to come over to Vic, what type of kid is he as we don't need anymore d1ckheads at Carlton as we have more than our fair share ATM at Princess Park and most importantly can he play?

Thanks in advance.
