If Sydney can beat the Cats next week then we should finish 2nd. Even if the Swans beat Hawks the week after we should get enough of a % booster in the next 3 weeks to stay above them. Would hate to finish 3rd and play the Cats as there is no guarantee the game will be at the Dome. Geelong have been trying to host a final down at Kardinia Park for years now, and a final against Freo while the 3 other finals are at the MCG the AFL might thinks its the perfect time to give them a real home final.

The biggest non Freo game of the year for us Sydney v Cats.
If Sydney win and everything goes normal we would get the double chance at home and I would back us to make the Grand final
Surely the FFC have enough gumption not to just bend over and take that scheduling? Whilst we are an interstate team, we have a bigger supporter base in Geelong - and a fair portion of it will be flying across to watch.
No way the AFL will allow a QF to be played at a ground with a capacity of 26,000 compared to the dome 55,000.
There's contracts in place too so it isn't going to happen. Breathe easy folks.
The AFL can't schedule finals at Skilled yet. They have contractual arrangements with the MCG and Etihad. That may change in the future but for the next few years, all Melbourne based finals will be at the MCG or Etihad.
They are also working on another upgrade for Skilled to include more seating.

I can't see us finishing lower than 3rd now. One of Sydney / Geelong has to win next week so we will move up either way. If Sydney win in a close one we could be second by the end of next weekend.

Ideally Sydney win by a point. Or a draw would do most probably.
Shouldn't need to be said this late in the season but ...... anyone, anywhere, anytime. Stoked to have top 4 and double chance sewn up - now all up to a bit of luck, how we handle the pressure and how we play on the day. Play at our best can match it with any team.

A draw would almost guarantee us second spot, as I don't think Geelong will be able to make up the %. Pie in the sky stuff, draws rarely happen, and we still have to win our next 2 games.
