To the point that I'd even say I'd play Bice off the wing and dropping Lloyd if we don't drop both of them

Like where does Roberts come back into the lineup if we look 10x the side with Mills at half back

Do we go with Roberts McInerney Gulden as the wingers?
Isn't it great to finally have some options with players coming back!

100% I mean its still weird that Florent hasn't even come to my mind of coming back in, probably shows that we should tempt a bottom Victorian club with Lloyd coming home for a junk 3rd or something if he is just a depth player

Be keeping it simple next game.

Errol hopefully back in for Bice or Co Warner

Amartey back into the forward line with Hanily out

Florent in for Adams as the sub

Keep the back 7 as it was this week, which means if Roberts comes back, it has to be in Bice or Co Warners role, otherwise through the 2s
Shouldn’t even be a decision between bice or Warner tho
Bice has way more to offer than Warner least bice gets it and tries to create Warner offers bugger all every week don’t see to many positives with him at all very lucky to b getting a game in my opinion ..no way in the world he’s better than florent cleary or even Mitchell

One is a small forward in the side and one is a winger, just a slight difference unless you want to play Bice/Errol/McInerney as a small forward I just don't see Corey being dropped for Errol

Shuffle the deck chairs about cause Warner isn’t a small forwards a**hole anyways ..

100% he shouldn't be playing but our genuine small forwards are Datolli and Papley both coming off longer injuries and don't really want to play them

Totally agree ..
But this originated from a post about Errol coming back for bice or Warner and I’m just trying to say Warner can’t keep his spot just cause they been playing him forward outta necessity ..cause he ain’t any good at it ..
He a winger at best and he’s about 8th in line for that spot
So I’m saying if we playing him as a half or small forward or whatever he floats about and does I think there’s a few blokes that r just better players that could have a go at that position even florent he could certainly give us what Warner does and more ..
Anyways a full list of players to choose from soon will sort it all out and he may very well be better for the dozen or so games he’s got at afl level and go back to the vfl and dominate and become something which we all hope he does

Imo our defence is pretty set, I'd drop Lloyd & play Roberts in defence with Blakey moving further up field onto the wing. His fwd 50 entries were great & we need it more than his kicking out of defence. We've got Mills for the defensive transition. I feel Roberts playing on the wing would lead to long bombs rather than hitting a target. We don't need long bombs into our fwd 50 as we're letting oppo have a spare defender who would mark it.

Wicks/Melican/Cunningham
Roberts/McCartin/Mills

I'd hate it if we played slow mids in our fwd line again. I want Cleary back into the team as our small fwd. He's got the defensive pressure & repeat efforts but with good skills too. I'd also have Heeney playing more in the fwd 50 & trust Sheldrick to do the heavy inside mid work along with Rowbottom. Mclean had a great game but can you play both he & Amartey? Does Amartey deserve to return after Mclean's performance? interesting selections...

Father time has caught up with Lloyd. I think a stint in reserves to find some confidence, work out his current strengths & maybe a reality check for him would be ideal.
It’s a tricky one isn’t it cause he still has the ability to find the footy but yeah he certainly looks slow

Lloyd was fine yesterday. Adams has lost his zip. Not in the best 23.

Lloyd ? which of his 8 turnovers was your favourite ? I liked his 0 1 percenters

Things I took from this game;

1. Well done Cox, you can actually formulate a winning Game Plan. I must admit it was only Richmond but... you actually won the coaching battle

2. Callum Mills is imperative to us winning. Let alone winning a premiership. He controlled play and the backs. Kept them all anchored.

3. We have virtually no forwards. But we got it we got it done.

4. Heeney, Chad both actually proved they knew what defensive running is. I am happier now.

5. McCartin is going to be an AA Back in another year

6. Our backs are more stable with Melly there

7. Grundy was superb, 51 HO, 19 disposals, 1.1, 6 tackles & 5 Clearances. Super. Blakey, it is amazing how much better he can be if you don't expect him to play on a key forward as a lockdown. I hope this has taught Cox a final lesson about Blakey, FREE HIM UP

8. All of our inclusions were good. Harry, Millsy, Wicksie and Francis

9. I still think we bomb far too much

Corey was damned awful in a side that won easily. Lloyd got lots of disposals bu didn't do much with them.

I find it amusing. Mills, Wicks and Cunningham come back and suddenly Rampe is far better. He got 18 and even kicked a pass, not just bomb it like he and Lloyd normally do.

Healy was shocking

We were winning by 40 or 50 and all his comments were negative about us.

I basically disagree with 3/4 of the stuff in this post, other than Blakey and Harry comments
Don't confuse 'negative' with constructive Kbroome.

This is who you think was 'shocking', and whose comments you don't seem to value.

Gerard Healy was:
-VFL Players Association MVP and the Simpson Medallist.
-Brownlow Medallist.
-Swans Team of the Century.
-Australian Football Hall of Fame, and Sydney Swans Hall of Fame.

-Played in the 1990 NSW State of Origin team that beat Victoria
(alongside John Longmire, Wayne Carey, and four Daniher brothers)

I agree, I really like Healy's commentating during our games. It feels the closest we will get to thoughts & views straight from the inner sanctum. If he grouches & grumbles over player's weaknesses, I'm fairly confident it's not just his perspective, but one that's also been shaped from the perspectives of fellow former Swans and even those inside the club that Healy has contact with. The same goes for praise he has for our players.

I'd take that over every other commentator just fapping over the only four or five Swans players they actually know or give a damn about.

Has been awful most of the season, but actually showed some nice moments in H2 on Saturday. Perhaps enough to save his bacon, probably depends on who's fit.

Thought it was a very good win, lots of positives, finally a bit of run and dare and excellent midfield response against an opposition midfield that ain't half bad. Still some moments that had me screaming at the TV but overall the sort of response we demanded, and that frankly we usually get, from this team.

Loved McCartin's game and great to see him get some coaches votes.
