Without doubt, our best victory since Rd 14, 2002.

We mauled the Tigers for the entire 4 quarters. Great to watch.

Our best players IMO were: Neitz, Bizzell, Brown, Wheatley Rivers, Nicho! and Vardy.

Player by Player:

Bizzell: Superstar. Can't believe how damn good this guy is. Equal BOG with Neitz.

Holland: A much improved game from Dutchy, but needs to improve his kicking for goal. Leave him in the forward line I say.

Thompson: Good. ND still won't give him a full game in the middle, but Thommo got his own ball and used it well.

Miller: Continues to develop into a fine CHF. Didn't get an awful lot of the ball, but kicked a classy (and important) goal in the third.

Nicholson. Kept the dangerous Richo goalless. Nicho you're a star!

Neitz: Murdered Gasper, unlucky not to get 10. The guy just doesn't miss these days. Equal BOG.

Jolly: Quiet and disappointing game from Jolly.

Yze: Only finished with 17 disposals, but unlike last week he didn't waste a kick. Solid game from Ooze.

Johnstone: Fumbled a lot, and generally speaking it was a disappointing game from Travis. ND shouldn't have started him on the bench.

Green: Very good. Kicked a HUGE goal in the second (went about 55m), and was busy all night. His disposal is probably the best in the league.

Vardy: A welcome addition, and was easily amongst our best players. If he can stay fit, we'll win a lot more games this year.

McDonald: Excellent. Got the team going in the first quarter and took Campbell out of the game. Perhaps my call to drop him from the side was a touch premature.

Robertson: Presented well. 19 disposals is a good return.

Brown: Excellent. A lot of people (myself included) underrated this guy in the pre season, but he was great all night. Ball magnet.

Rivers: Wonderful player. Melbourne have found their CHB for the next 10 years.

Read: Very encouraging debut. 14 disposals in a half of footy is good work. His disposal is quite good too.

Godfrey: His disposal is actually pretty good these days! Decent game from Godders.

Wheatley: It was great to see Wheatley dominate at CHB all game. Looks like ND's plan (i.e. to give him as much confidence as possible) has payed off.

Bruce: Wasn't fully fit, but along with Junior he got the team going early on. A class act.

White: I was disappointed with his game to be honest. He wasn't bad, just not as dominant as he should be.

Davey: Another good game. The guy's speed is unbelievable.

Whelan: Pretty good, although NG Brown was one of the Tigers best.

Excellent team effort.

The Howat Cup is OURS again! And my vote for the Haydn Robins medal goes to Neitz.

Now onto the prestigious Allen Jakovich Cup next week!

Kept the dangerous Richo goalless. Nicho you're a star!

Gotta admit we didnt play direct footy so the ball didnt relaly get on a 1 on 1 with richo and nicholson. Richo had a shot on the boundary, from 55 out and one from about 45m out. He missed all of them. Woulda been a diff story if he kicked 3 then nicho wouldnt be a star.

I knew you would win. I tipped you but only because i knew that if u lost ur club would be in massive turmoil. knew u would get a good start and be more harder it was predictable.

DDT, our teams are very similar, the difference between their best and worst is too far, both teams need to become consistent.

Pretty much a spot on analysis there lamby, very good.

My random thoughts for the game are:

Neitz is awesome.

Rivers is high quality just needs to improve the consistency of his disposal (couple of errrors but there was also some good stuff there too) and also get bigger obviously.

Vardy makes our forwardline twice as potent. If Neitz is getting double and triple teamed then we need him to be crumbing. I think Garry Lyon mentioned about his positioning, where he was front and centre for most contests and won the ball several times.

Nicho looks good when our midfield is going well. Richo would have cut him up if the Tigers knew how to get it to him quickly.

More good signs from Aaron Davey.

Nathan Brown should avoid kicking the ball at all times, he should handball to someone who can kick.

Travis Johnstone had a shocker, he must improve.

Scott Thompson was brilliant, his left is just as good as his right and Dennis Cometti thought he was a left footer.

Not so sure about Thommo's disposal, he OK on the run but his shots at goal were poor, not convincing at all.
