I genuinely don't like it unless it's mutual
Of the people I know well enough/are open enough to have had discussions about it (so small sample size here)- most girls I know do like it/do do it, but but nowhere near as much/as frequently as the boys seem to!

Hmm.

But is this like a societal thing? If girls aren't lying and generally don't have "the best fun you can have on your own" like blokes, is that because they reckon it's gross or weird?

Or am I massive sexist.

I obviously don't speak for everyone/all girls, but from my own experience/discussion with friends, seems like we don't get urges anywhere near as often/as strongly as a lot of guys seem to. I'm another one who needs to be seduced- and generally that only happens if I'm with someone ie mutual. It also takes a lot of effort ie time/preparation, to get into the mood if the urge isn't there, and the end result just doesn't make it as worth it. It could be because of hormones (as Roobs alluded to earlier) or different biology/anatomy- who knows?

I find it bemusing to think that any adult could find it gross or weird, given that it's natural, but I'm sure not wanting to be labelled/viewed in a particular way contributes (to peoples' decisions to deny it, or even exaggerate)

Any girls that I've spoken to about it have all said they do it. I don't think they do it as much as blokes do.

Just friends. Obviously there's others I haven't had the conversation with cos it wouldn't be appropriate (work etc), not like I've spoken to every girl I've met about it.

I think from what they've told me they get an urge, something brings that on, and they might do it, or do it later when they get the chance. I think blokes do that as well but then also even when they don't get the urge - just for fun, or even just to pass the time!
 
I had to go a number of days without to give a sperm sample a few months ago. It was hard. I tried to go to a peak and then stopping before the ejaculation happened just to get some kind of pleasure. This was a big mistake as I discovered since it actually gave me pain in my balls.
